I can not enough good things about JLP! I only get to come here when I visit my cousin, but needless to say since discovering JLP I've been visiting my cousin a lot more! What's not to love? The food is amazing, the environment is superb, and the margaritas are out of this world!

Let's start with the hot sauce, and Black bean dip that you receive when you sit down with the chips. You almost want to stop there because it's so amazing! If you don't order another bowl of the bean dip before your dinner arrives, you're not a true Tex-Mex aficionado!

If it is at all possible, you must sit on the back patio. You would never in 1 million years know it's there when you walk through the front door but you wind around the back and come on to the best little patio under the trees with excellent fans if it gets a little warm.

Then, you order the Premium Margarita! This fresh made nectar of the gods, is the perfect midday refresher or celebratory drink at the end of a long week. It's light and tasty, but potent enough to get the job done! Two is my limit!!

And the menu is extensive. Everything on it is amazing.

I've had everything from fajita nachos to the jalapeño burger and have never ever been disappointed.

I can't help but mentioning how wonderful the staff is! They're there when you need them and make excellent suggestions.

So if you ever find yourself within 30 miles of Midlothian, Texas and need a bite to eat, or simply a cocktail, do not pass up JLP!

It is an awesome...

We have been coming to Jalapeños for a few years now and had nothing but good things to say about the food, service, and experience.

Since January of this year we have had very poor service every visit. First, we went for a birthday lunch with my elderly grandmother, we waited about an hour for a table, then at least 30 minutes until we had anyone come to our table, and did not return to check in on us or provide our bill to pay. Very out of character from what we’d experienced previously. Next, when picking up an order they left out majority of our food and then when we came back the front hosts argued that it was correct even when showing our receipt. Then recently, when picking up an order with an expected 20 minute wait time, we waited an additional 50 minutes on top of that. The hosts and team had their backs turned talking to each other and not helping guests. The team would walk back and “look for the order” for a few minutes, then come back to the stand and turn their backs.

I’m not sure if someone took over as new management, but we seem to have lost the Jalapeños we knew and loved. The staff prior to the new year were just incredible and went above and beyond and lately we’ve only had the opposite. Food is still good but the service has been very poor. Again, not at all what we’d like experienced prior to January and we’re disappointed to have lost what was once...

Arrived at 5:00 Pm and was offered a table. We asked for a booth and one girl seemed to get upset. Turns out the booth was in her section. We waited 10 minutes before being asked for our drink order, another 15 minutes before our order was taken. Three other couple came in during our wait and all had been served and was eating. After another10 minutes we were ready to leave when our food was served. I have been here several time and always warned that the plate was hot, not this time because the plate was almost cool. The food was hot and good as usual. It seems to me that our waitress was upset that we were sat in her section and we paid the price. After our plates was removed we waited another 10 minutes for the check, no luck. Our waitress walked by us several times but kept walking. We went to the front to pay but still had to wait on our waitress before we could pay. It normally takes around 35 minutes to dine here, but tonight it was 65 minutes and would have been longer if we had not asked to pay so we could leave. They say one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole group but it can sure leave a bad taste and stink up a room. I still would recommend eating here. The food is great and the staff is normally very friendly, this girl must have had a...

Amazing! Let us start with the crowd. This restaurant has only been open for a couple of months, and they stay packed. I decided to try it out, and the ambiance is great. 💖 The food is delicious, the service is amazing, and drinks 🍸 are delish. They gave me more than enough food. I could not eat it all in one setting. The drinks 🍸 are a little stronger than I expected. Yay! I could not finish my one drink either. I ran into the owner a couple of times while I was there. He was an amazing host. He was extremely courteous, delightful, and humorous. He checked on me a couple of times, which is what the staff usually does (awesome). The employees were attentive and courteous as well. The owner actually escorted me to the front door. And I wished him great success with his new venture. I highly recommend and would definitely revisit.

First, we are LONG time Jalapeños customers. They serve the best margs in Midlothian and their blanco queso is our absolute favorite. We tried their new location last week and were pleasantly surprised that most things are the exact same, just the way we like it. Their new building is spacious and love the new aesthetics. We were able to sit on the patio and their newly added misters and open breezeway was perfect! One thing I was very disappointed in.... The FRIES! And yes I know this is silly because fries aren't necessarily a staple at a good Mexican food restaurant. But they could at least be HOT. Was served cold, soggy fries with my jalapeño wrap, and it really put a damper on the plate. Plus, they are totally different cut fries. Bring back the thin cut, HOT fries please. We still love you Jalapenos! See you next week!

First time here. Place was busy for Friday around lunchtime. Impressed with the drink choices, just too early to start. Chips salsa and black bean dip came out quickly. Chips were warm and crispy, Salsa was mild and bean dip was really good. Chili relleno with spicy chicken was good size and tasted great. The shredded chicken burrito was good also spicy and just the right spice. A little small but overall good with beans and rice. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.been back several times and never disappointed. We decided to sit out on the patio. Very nice space, and was comfy and service was just as good outside as it is inside.
