Easily the best Asian restaurant in Midlothian and surrounding areas. It’s new so give it a try. They have a bar and a variety of small bites as well as premium choice such as waygu beef and beef ribs!
The pho is amongst the best in Texas. The broth is very clear and well seasoned. The noodles are cooked throughly and don’t stick to each other. They add enough meat so you get a piece of meat every bite. The aromatics that come off the broth are authentic and keep you coming back for more. The meat is very tender and the meatballs are flavorful. The chicken pho is also top tier. The chicken is seasoned. They add garlic to get rid of the boiled chicken smell. They crack fresh black pepper on top of most of their dishes which adds a burst of flavor and nothing beats the smell of fresh pepper. The greens that come on side are very fresh. The crispy shrimp are large and fresh, no fishy smell. They are very crispy and pairs well with the sweet sauce. The fried dumplings are very crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The shaken beef is very tender and has so much flavor it pairs well with the white rice. The SPRING ROLLS are so good I could see myself going to Pho Duc Midlo just to eat those and nothing else. Very fresh ingredients. The shrimp was poached to perfection and has no smell. They have a good balance of textures inside both soft and crunchy. The peanut sauce has small crushed peanuts that also add to the texture. The grilled pork spring rolls are also amazing. The pork is soft and tender with a burst of flavor. The best part is that they are tightly wrapped which prevent them from falling apart after the first bite.
TLDR Very fresh ingredients both the meat and the veggies Authentic flavors and dishes Very clean restaurant Clean restrooms Great prices Large...
Read moreMy husband and I went there for lunch. I ordered shrimp lo mein and it was ok. Shrimp were cooked good, noodles may have been a bit over cooked but the bok choy was over cooked IMO. My husband ordered the chicken lo mein and same as mine except the chicken you could tell was reheated. It was super dry, chewy and had that microwave reheated chicken taste to it. I tried it and it was pretty gross. He ended up picking all the chicken out but was able to eat the rest. We did discuss that with our server who asked how things were tasting, but nothing was done about it. Not looking for a refund at all especially since it states "no refunds" multiple times on the menu, but he didn't apologize or offer anything, just walked off. Don't ask if you don't want to know. Then the door chime was on level 10 so everyone including the stores next door could hear when people walked in and out. It was really loud. We did like the atmosphere for the most part, they have a really nice looking bar, so we plan to give them a 2nd chance and hopefully they will take our suggestions into consideration when preparing chicken. Lunch ended up being close to $40 for...
Read moreI heard about the oxtail pho and was excited to try it. The flavors were impressive and I took half home, so the next day they were even better. That said, I think oxtail pho would be better if they were de-boned. Next time, I'll opt for the all meats pho, instead, because fighting with those bones was time consuming and led to my pho getting cold, which is why I had leftovers in the first place. Also, the floor is very sticky and you can hear it when everyone is walking, including the servers. I know that's probably inconsequential, but I don't think I've been to a restaurant where the floors sound like that. My server was very nice and I asked for his recommendation, which he said the oxtail was their most popular dish, although that didn't specifically answer my question. I like to try things that the people who are there all the time eat and he never said he ate it or even liked it, he just kept saying it was the most popular. With water and tip, I spent $26 on a bowl of soup and as much as I enjoyed it, I don't know that it was worth the price to fight with...
