My son (4 years old) and I entered the establishment wanting to place an order to go. The girl at front directed us to the bar. My son enthusiastically sat on a stool next to me as we patiently waited our turn. The bartender, with a sexual enuendo written on her shirt came up to us, and I told her I was placing an order to go. She took my order,THEN told me that I could not be there with a minor. I disagreed jokingly, "I am his father, I did not realize the laws have changed concerning this." So, in front of everyone, I had to turn to my son, and explain to him that we had to move. We went back up to the front to wait, and I Googled the state law. Sure enough, we were lawfully in our right. But it can be policy. The bartender did not even bother to take our drink order. She interrupted the food order, and asked us to leave. It was so distracting and such a surprise, that I even forgot. The overpriced food was a huge disappointment. Everything was too salty. My wife's was so salty, that she only took two bites, even though she was very hungry. We ended up going down the road for drinks at Sonic. The rest of the day, my wife suffered from the saltiness, and could not eat another thing. I joke now that there is this wonderful bbq place to eat, but my wife does not seem to think that is funny, because we paid a lot of money for terribly subpar food, and...
Read moreFood was great, my complaint is that I ordered the all you can eat ribs and because I was a good customer and spent more money at your establishment on appetizers I was too full to even eat the first plate. They refuse to let you take any home because it is the "all you can eat". Yes, the rules are clear on the menu but they defy common sense. It was the first plate! It is the minimum that you would expect to serve a paying customer. You have to just throw them away when I leave. I understand if I finished my first plate and asked for more that those can't go home otherwise anyone who dines would always ask for another plate and a to-go box. But the first plate, the minimum you plan to serve is a cost you expect to incur, you chose to throw away my food and make me unhappy. You could have for the same cost let me leave happy and delicious food would not have been wasted and you wouldn't have spent a penny more on food than the minimum you expected to when creating the menu.
Update 7/15/22: Thank you for your response. I've changed my rating to 5 stars because I appreciate that you recognize the flaw in this situation. As a business owner myself I understand things happen. I of course have already been back many times since this experience and I will continue to support your local business as the food and...
Read moreI arrived Tuesday evening 5/28/19 at 8pm. I ordered brisket stuffed baked potato. I am not a picky eater and I am very easily pleased when it comes to food. But, the potato I got sucked so badly. It was so old it had that brownish look to the white of the potato. The chopped brisket was equally bad - had some very hard pieces in it and some gobs of unflavored fat. Definitely not smoked meat. I was very disappointed in the meal. I don't know if I just came at a bad time (after Memorial Day weekend- maybe serving food leftover from the weekend) or what. Food was not fresh it was OLD and sucked! Also, waitress brought my husband and I our meal and asked if we needed anything else. Told her yes, the appetizer we ordered. Waitress so checked out she didn't even realize she had not brought appetizer to table. I will say, the order of Hotties was fresh and very good. I have not decided if I will try this place again or not. Would like to know which days potatoes are cooked and how many days after it has been cooked staff are allowed to serve. Or is there a problem with keeping potatoes under a heat lamp all day after cooking in the morning. Really this needs addressed. I just wish someone would educate, or do whatever it takes to keep another person from receiving...
