It’s disappointing to leave a negative review, but I couldn’t help it. The food was delish and in my opinion a decent price for the quality and selection of plates. However, it appeared they were understaffed and experiencing some miscommunication between staff. We made a reservation for 11, 5 of which were kids. It took an hour and 20 mins for our plates to come out and while bringing them out a gentlemen was assisting our waitress and immediately became frustrated that he couldn’t figure out which plate went where from the tab. He walked away and left the plates sitting there another 2-3 mins while looking for our waitress and when she appeared basically told her to figure it out. Throughout our entire experience there was little follow up, we had to request all the basics and they left water jugs for us to refill our own cups… which was fine my issue is the bill came out and it was very frustrating to see the gratuity. We eat out and I understand that they added the gratuity because we were a party of 6 or more…. As is most families staying at this resort I’d assume. The bill was 400… with a 60.00 gratuity, more than the usual 18-20%. Don’t get me wrong the waitress was nice but as stated IT TOOK AN HOUR AND 20 MINS to begin to get our food even though we made a reservation ahead of time. Initially half the table received their food and another 10-15 mins later the remaining plates came out. A few steaks and the salmon was overcooked, and little follow up throughout to justify a 60.00 tip. I mentioned this to the server nicely and again when she brought her manager over. He dropped the bill from 402.00 to 390.55 not even worth the feedback given. I am never one to complain especially because I know the industry is difficult especially if running understaffed but his response for leaving us waiting over an hour was some steaks take longer to cook…. But overcooked is what it was. Just take into account the pricing is fair, the food is decent but be prepared for extremely longer than normal wait times to be served and little attention to detail and then tipping them for exceptional service.

Michelin star quality food, chain restaurant ambiance. If four and a half stars were an option I’d take it for Z’s. Here’s the deal: Food: 5/5 stars all day. Outstanding flavor profiles and well-balanced menu without being over bearing. Our steak was temped to perfection and the dessert was the right balance of rich and sweet. The dinner rolls were like pillows of baked goodness. Decor/seating: 3/5. Tables are too big for the size of the booths- I’d suggest avoiding booths unless you and your dining party are sticks. Also, the ambiance - while essentially being in a hotel lobby - led to diners in ratty tshirts next to those in suits and large “local” families with 22 children all acting like kids - at Chile’s you expect it and deal with it - at a place with $100 plates, not so much. Servers: 4/5. here’s my real struggle. Our server was INCREDIBLY friendly, attentive, got things perfect and even went above and beyond for her customers! I would hire her at any food concept I manage/own! However. If you’re going to have a menu resembling fine dining - step up and teach your servers the finer points of serving. When our bottle of wine arrived, the server opened it and poured it into our glasses in such a way that it left head in our red. I saw another server drop off a twist-top bottle on a diners table and walk away. You don’t have to have a sommelier, but the FOH crew could use training on proper pouring/presentation etiquette. Next we ordered the fantastic fondue app, but were barely halfway through it when the entree showed up and the server tried to take the fondue away. Not sure if this is on kitchen, the expeditor or the server but please space out the service more properly. It’s not a lunch rush with business persons trying to get back to the office. All in all we enjoyed our meal and would like to come back for the beef Wellington when we have the room for it!

The food at Z's is D LICIOUS! Omg. Everything was plated very nice. The service was so great very attentive and friendly. Colton was our server he was very professional and always checking on us. We had the Rib eye steak with was perfectly cooked and nice and soft meat not chewy. The cream of corn bacon was very good first time of that. The Breaded Pork was also very good, good flavor and soft meat. We had a side of rice and also had some side of Kalbi steak and it wasn't over sauced it was perfectly seasoned. The cheese Sadaki?? I think thats what its called but OMG that took the cake.. thats was so good and even looked so good. Maybe little more rum. Hahaha jk. but it was very good and filling served with pita bread thats was perfect with this dish. Comes with Bun which always good. Can I suggest maybe sweet butter like they use for nandings? Or cinbutter.. but butter was still perfect and soft. Dessert- bread pudding was very tasty and blended flavors was great. Passion fruit cream brule- very delicious also not too sweet not too bitter. Hope to have this again but for me maybe the consistency just little thicker like pie i would like to try. Thanks to the chefs and chef Brian came to welcome us and couple people as well, that was really cool. All and all we felt so welcomed and had such a great experience from everyone. Keep up the great work we will be back. Thank you!! And Aloha #zermattresort @wyndham

Z's Steak and Chop Haus truly deserves every bit of its five-star reputation, as my recent visit on the Marine Corps Birthday was an extraordinary dining experience that went above and beyond expectations. From the moment we entered, the ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for a memorable evening. The elegant yet comfortable décor, combined with soft, ambient lighting, created a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for our special celebration.

The staff's attentiveness and professionalism were exemplary. They were knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations that catered to our diverse tastes. Their attention to detail and genuine care in ensuring our comfort made us feel exceptionally well taken care of, especially in acknowledging the significance of the Marine Corps Birthday. This added a personal touch to our experience that was deeply appreciated.

The culinary prowess at Z's Steak and Chop Haus is nothing short of remarkable. Each dish, from the appetizers to the main courses, was a testament to high-quality ingredients and masterful preparation. The steaks, the star of the show, were cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and presented beautifully. The accompanying sides and sauces complemented the meats wonderfully, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors.

Moreover, the wine selection was impressive, featuring a range of options that paired beautifully with our meals. The knowledgeable staff assisted us in choosing wines that enhanced our dining experience, contributing to the overall exquisite taste journey.

The dessert course was a delightful conclusion to our meal. Each option was a delightful blend of flavors and textures, making it a perfect ending to a fantastic meal.

In conclusion, Z's Steak and Chop Haus is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. The combination of superb food, exceptional service, and a delightful atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination. It's a place where special occasions are made even more memorable, and ordinary evenings are transformed into...

I really wanted to like Z’s. We stayed at Zermatt, and they call themselves a 4-star resort. When we arrived at Z’s, it wasn’t super busy at all. We waited to be seated for several minutes before the hostess, Paige came by. She was expressionless and nearly lifeless. She honestly didn’t even seem like she knew she was on shift as she moved at a glacial pace to come “greet,” us (she barely acknowledged our existence). She then sat us at a table with the sun shining in our faces. I asked if there was another table available and she said “No, we were busy this morning,” despite there being multiple several tables. I didn’t push it and we made it work. After about another five minutes, Paige poured me a glass of water, and didn’t pour my husband a glass as she left. We assumed she ran out to get more water. She did return and filled up my husbands, his having no ice and mine having ice. Once again, she said nothing to us. I wouldn’t even say she was cold, she seemed like she was on another planet in her mind. She would also slowly walk around the restaurant, not helping any one or anything in particular, just looking slowly “busy.” There was one waitress for the entire restaurant. Corinne was kind and did her best, but they were clearly understaffed. We waited 45 minutes for our food and were accidentally given the table next to us breakfast instead of our own. When our order was given to us, it was cold. After being there for over an hour, we promptly asked for the check as we needed to check out. Paige walked by and I said, “Can we get the check, please?” She stopped in her tracks, stared at me, and said flatly, “Yeah.” And then went about her business and not getting us the check at all. It was a bizarre dining experience. I hope Z’s can pull it together. I hope Paige is ok. I didn’t take it personally as I noticed she treated every diner in this manner. Needless to say, we...
