Lumpy's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Midwest City

Absolutely appalling staff!! I mean completely inappropriate and un professional. What was supposed to be a casual night out with my son, his boss, and his girlfriend turned into an utterly mortifying experience. While my son was in the bathroom one bartender (blond hair/lots of tattoos) approached the table and began telling everyone and I quote "that guy is a piece of s*" (referring to my son) Shocked the initial thought was maybe it was someone he knew and some sort of bad joke. NOPE! When his girlfriend asked why the bar tender proceeded to exspress her discontinment with the tip he had left her during his last visit a few nights before. Immediately everyone was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. She walks away. My son makes it back to the table and is made aware of what was said in his absence. They call her back to the table and he begins to try and understand why she would say that or if maybe she had him confused with someone else. She motions for the other bar tender (tall guy with red hair) to come over and add his two cents/back up her story. While he takes over as conductor on the insult train she goes to the back and retrieves his last tab as if she was presenting the murder wepon for a high profile homicide. My son is genuinely apologetic and lets her know he had a bit too much to drink that night and might have miss read the total. She scoffs and walks away. Everyone was left in sheer disbelief. Needless to say service became all but non existent for the entire table after that. During his bosses attempt to salvage the night he goes up to the bar to order a few shots hoping to lighten the mood. While ordering he asks that the shots be put on his tab to which her response was "no he can pay for them" (insinuating my son) Now everyone decides it would be best to leave. He was then barraded into leaving an obnoxious tip to which in all honesty didnt seem to pacify her in the least. Literally the most mind blowing experience! Its sad this behavior is tolerated. I would venture to say due to the level of comfort she had confronting him that this is not the first time shes done this. I can only imagine how much money this establishment has lost due to the completely unprofessional behavior of its bartenders belittling patrons. For perspective - $500.00 was spent accumulatively that night (Oct 29th) and roughly a minimum of $150.00 or more is spent per couple during any other typical visit roughly 1-2 times a week. Thats just a couple of people. Multiply that by who knows how many others that have endured the wrath of this staff when they do not receive a tip they feel is adequate. You do the math... I would venture to say thats a lot of money!!! My advice would be spend your money...

Lumpy’s has always been one of my favorite places to visit, and I’ve consistently had great experiences — especially thanks to Ben, who has always been an exceptional bartender and treated me with nothing but respect and professionalism every single time.

However, my most recent visit was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. After apparently not leaving what was considered a large enough tip, the bartender on duty (x2) took it upon themselves to address my table while I was not present, telling others that I hadn’t tipped enough. When I returned, I noticed that I was being intentionally served slowly, and drinks were added to my tab that were not supposed to be.

To make matters worse, the bartender then brought out the receipt from the previous night to show my table how poorly I had tipped — something that is not only unnecessary but completely unprofessional and inappropriate.

This behavior is disrespectful, unethical, and damaging to Lumpy’s reputation. No customer should be treated in such a manner, regardless of the size of a tip. I have always supported this establishment, but after this experience, I will not be returning and will make it a point to share my experience with others so they can avoid similar mistreatment.

Lumpy’s management should seriously review this incident and take appropriate action to ensure this kind of conduct never happens again. Customers deserve respect and professionalism — not public embarrassment and...

Never had an issue with this place since it’s opening. Friends and I have frequent Lumpy’s in Midwest City at least once a week and have never had an issue…….. until tonight. The “bouncer” was very aggressive when it came to last call. Went around and told every individual it was time to leave (which he should) BUT as I was paying my tab, waiting for my credit card back, he continued to get verbally aggressive telling all patrons to leave repeatedly, I explained we were waiting for our cards and he states “ well these guys aren’t listening so everyone needs to leave now”. He was referring to people across the bar that were not associated with our party and when we stated we needed to pay for our tab he became more aggressive! Will not be returning to this place on prime hours! Sorry I’m leaving without paying my tab or my credit card!

We visit this location about once a week, mostly not on weekend hours and have never has a problem but due to the aggressiveness of this “bouncer” we will not return. FYI… as he was being verbally aggressive with all patrons it was only 0130 which means everyone is trying to pay...
