Fate Cakes — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

Fate Cakes is fabulous; it is my bakery of choice in the greater Columbus area! In June 2020, I was looking for gourmet cupcakes that would deliver to my Ohio State University son, for his 21st birthday. I live in Chicago so had no access to local word of mouth.

After carefully checking their very user-friendly website and reviews, Fate Cakes seemed to be the perfect choice and it definitely was! I ordered custom assortment of Salted Caramel, Red Velvet, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate and Vanilla. It was impossible to pick a favorite, they are all great and I was pleased there were so many options from which to choose. My son, his flat mates and friends LOVED the cupcakes, and appreciated the special treat delivered to their apartment door, especially during the height of Covid!

Fate Cakes did such a great job the first time, I placed a larger order for my son’s graduation party, in May 2021, and then again for his 22nd birthday, last week and I will definitely keep coming back! The product is delicious and well presented and delivery is flawless. In addition, Olivia, the manager, is delightful to work with, both professional and friendly. She went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. This was particularly important to me being at a distance and for such important milestones as a 21st birthday and university graduation. Family and friends are still raving about the tasty treats...

I found this shop on Google in search of finding a bakery to make my gender reveal cake at an affordable price. The shop is super cute and easy to find. She has models of all the cake sizes which makes it easy to figure out which size is best for your needs. I started by trying out the cupcakes to test the taste. We got funfetti, Oreo, chocolate, and lemon poppy as well as a chocolate chip cookie. All the cupcakes were super moist! They tasted absolutely amazing. Im not the biggest cupcake/cake fan but these were very good. I enjoyed Oreo the most. The cookie was very good also. I love cookies. It was cooked perfectly. Had a very good taste to it. After trying the cupcakes I decided to order a cake. I sent her what I want and the turn around was about a week in a half. She did exactly what I wanted. Pick up was quick I just got it from her shop. It was very reasonably priced as well. I got an Oreo cake with white icing on the outside and the gender color was in the icing on the inside. The cake was very moist and tasted great. She really helped to make a special moment for my family and I! I will be going back for any...

Love Fate Cakes! My husband and I used Marie for our wedding cake last year after taste testing the quoting with 4-5 other bakeries. We loved that we could just pick up the testing kits to go, we were able to take them home and share them with some friends to help us make the call which was a fond memory in our planning process. Plus the flavors were amazing and pricing was very reasonable compared to other bakeries we looked at. It was a no brainer.

At our wedding, we received so many compliments and we spent the whole year talking about how we were going to order another cake for our anniversary + get some buckeye cupcakes because that was our hot runner up flavor.

We just had our anniversary and Marie even used some of our design elements in our smaller anniversary cake which was awesome. It was just as seamless and delicious as it was for our wedding.
