Do you like visiting "family friendly restaurants" (as advertised by them on social media) and enjoying a burger and fries while simultaneously being able to binge Jerry Springer on the tv across from you? Well this is the place for you! Boy oh boy, let me tell you, the three kids aged 8, 10, & 11 in our party couldn't have been more excited to watch women fighting in their bras immediately upon entering the establishment.
We came here on opening day with a party of 7 and were all super excited to try it. We entered and immediately saw a sign saying "please wait to be seated" so we all stood around for close to 10 mins, during which time we made eye contact with the owner once or twice and were never acknowledged by any employees whatsoever during this time. Eventually we saw a party finishing up their meals, getting up, and passing by us on their way to exit and they told us they ended up just seating themselves since no one came to seat them either. So that's exactly what we did.
Bad choice. Once we finally got settled in at our table we were finally greeted for the first time by the owner who said "something something you're supposed to wait to be seated something something." I couldn't really tell because the guy spoke at a barely audible level! Imagine you're opening up a new restaurant and this is all the enthusiasm you can muster up on opening day...jesus christ.
Before we get down to our order, the menu had three types of burgers to offer, one of them (the Classic) has a "deluxe" option which simply adds lettuce & tomato...simple enough. When it was my wife's turn to order, she got the Oklahoma Onion burger and simply asked if she could get that deluxe with lettuce & tomato added to it. His response?
Owner: hesitation "...no"
As if he had some sort of Michelin star establishment that he had to maintain and that a measly piece of lettuce & tomato were going to throw off the flavors of a HAMBURGER...
All in all, the food was good but seriously overpriced. I prefer In-n-Out if I'm honest and you can get a smash burger for far cheaper than $12 elsewhere. Just an absurd price for the type of hamburger you're getting.
Go someplace else, this place sucks, and if the owner doesn't even care about you, why should you bother to give him your money....
Read moreEnjoyed the 80s music playlist Our server was attentive Appreciated they had Coca Cola Zero and diet coke
We had the Oklahoma burger which if I had to describe is a full size White castle burger with mayo and on a potato roll
The onions could have used a little more caramelizing however the burger itself was not Light on meat.
If I had to help set expectations it is like White Castle & Five Guys had a baby
The fries are shoe string style and very generously served. Didn’t care much for “the sauce” Im a Ketchup on my fries mind girl & I added ketchup to the burger as the OKlahoma doesn’t come with it
Im happy I tried it as a sit in diner. Not sure the integrity of the fries would have held up to the drive home.
Would eat there again likely trying the classic cheese and one of their Season 1 cocktails. There was a strawberry something or the other with Prosecco float that caught my attention after ordered soft drinks and were waiting for our food
Ample parking and. I e that theres a patio and picnic tables for larger groups. Our bill was ~$44 and we had identical meals. Likely we could have shared fries. Everything was priced a la carte … also wanted to try the ice cream with sprinkles but barely hot thru 1/3 of my burger.
Next time on...
Read moreThis isn't a bashing post but more of a review that they can see and get better at. I know they just opened up and are obviously busy but first impressions start with customer service. They have a sign that says "please wait to be seated" as you walk in. I came in just by myself, I patiently sat there by the front for maybe 2-3 minutes. No acknowledgment at all. Then a family of about 6 came in and were crammed behind me patiently waiting as well. I sat there for another 6-7 minutes, still not even a "hey guys be right with you" or nothing. I made eye contact with several employees as they walked by. And like I said, I know they just opened and are busy, I'm fine with waiting for a seat or food but how do you not even acknowledge people waiting if you clearly make eye contact with them. I know that even one of the owners made eye contact with me cause his picture is in some of the posts about the restaurant opening. He made eye contact and nothing. I left the restaurant after almost 10 min of standing there and no acknowledgment. I worked many years in the service industry and first impressions mean alot. The place looks good and the food smelled good, I will honestly go in and try it again but customer service can make it...
