Service was good, food was average. The Pollo A La Diabla I had was subpar. The sauce served with it was basically spicy Chef Boyardee sauce with chicken chunks served with rice and beans. It was all cooked well but the cheap sauce killed the dish. Spice level was good. They also did not bring out all of our food (table of 3) at the same time. One member of our party was waiting almost 10 minutes for 3 fish tacos.
Margaritas were tasty, I recommend them during happy hour!
I ordered a mojito after the margarita, it was the absolute worst mojito I have ever had. No fresh mint. Drink was made with a mix and added mint oil (which tasted like wintergreen). I took a sip and it tasted like liquid Winterfresh gum. Another member of my group tried it and had the same reaction. Mouth was coated with mint oil They took the drink back without issue and also let me know that they recently changed the mix they use. Mojitos don't use a mix.
Food is average, free chips and salsa, stick with beer and anything on a cast iron plate and you are solid. I would not recommend this place as your first pick to go, but would if it is close by and you are craving Mexican style...
Read moreThe food was delicious and very well priced in my opinion. But what I really want to applaud was the service!! We were invited to eat here by a very elderly couple, one extremely frail with a walker and the other, very special to us, but rather cantankerous, opinionated and "difficult". Staff had to contend with multiple trips to the table before ever getting an order, protracted explanations of everything on the menu, rudeness (our host told one server not to come back and bother us!), and numerous other demands, not to mention an embarrassing tip that we secretly enriched. It was on a day the restaurant was packed and our servers were far too busy for this nonsense. But they were consistantly patient, kind, accommodating, pleasant, and helpful. Not even a single eye roll! The couple are regulars and they were treated with complete dignity and respect given their various physical and cognitive challenges. Kudos to them! ...
Read morePlease take this as constructive criticism. With Milford not lacking in the Mexican restaurant category it’s going to get tougher to earn/keep customers long term. I’ve been coming in since I’ve been 16 (now 28) and there’s a couple male servers there that are always giving 110% and make me want to come in just to see them. They are polite, they even remember my order even with months in between coming in. However over the years there’s been one female server who’s consistently been bad. She’s slow, she disappears for long periods of time and isn’t very polite. This server needs talked too because if you think this review is bad just imagine the peoples business you’ve lost by giving them a bad experience. First impressions are important but so are keeping long term customers happy. The bar looks nice, I hope you continue to renovate. You’ve been a Milford staple and can continue to be, just have to...
