I wish I could give this hotel a zero star. My wife and I planned a 2 day weekend get away months in advance. Well when we first arrived around 3 PM Saturday afternoon and got our keys to our room. They had to run a card to cover the cost of the room but we wouldn't be charged till the check out. we thought nothing of it at first because the front desk lady said there was an additional 90 dollar charge which was there as an insurance policy but would be returned at check out..but we thought it was a little odd that the original price jumped so much. Nonetheless, we get our keys to our room and go and inspect it. We find four or five hairs on the bathroom sink and in the hot tub the water jets had a little pink discolorations around them and tile wasn't clean. The shower had weak water pressure and had a puddle at the bottom of the tub when you would let the shower run... so you would be standing in a pool of water instead of trying to enjoy a shower and get clean. Needless to say we asked for a new room which they obliged to change rooms.. we inspected the second room and it was good enough... the only 2 things that were bad about the second room is that we found a pubic hair on one of the pillows with a stain.. which we just took off the pillow case and was fine with that. when we filled up the hot tub and turned on the water jets sediment or dirt came out of them.. we didnt use the hot tub that we paid to use because of the dirt that came out inside the hot tub. This wasn't the worst part.....we went to our friends beautiful wedding and we arrived back to our room via shuttle service around 1 am Sunday morning and went to sleep around 4 am. We the get a call in the morning around 930 am saying our card was denied and that I should come to the front desk to figure out payment.....we were not happy getting woken up that early after partying that late and paying that amount of money in the first place so I could sleep in. So we check our account and see they have taken the money already...I tell the wife we are just going to go home at this point. we were both not happy and we lived less than 30 to 45 minutes away so we decided to grab our luggage and go to the front desk to figure it out.....I was basically told that our card was denied and that we owed an additional 433 dollars for our stay. We then in turn showed the owner and front desk manager that we did indeed pay them 533 dollars already and had proof on our bank app. It had there name and 533 dollars taken out from them.. the both of them in turn said that they had no proof of the transaction.... we went back and forth with civil words about the situation for about 20 minutes before leaving with them still having our money and us frankly highly pissed off and cutting our months in advance planned weekend get away short....it was suppose to have been a relaxing weekend but things didnt turn out that way.. it felt like the owner and manager honestly thought we didnt make payment..... when you try and double charge an amount over 900 dollars to a debit card that only had 600 on it yes you will get a denied card. So this is what happened......they charged our account 533 dollars when we arrived and got our keys and then tried to charge the debit card account again within 10 min for 433 dollars....But we didn't know that our card was denied until they called and woke us up early.....they didnt care to call my cell phone or room phone until that Sunday morning around 930.....in the end we we charged 158 dollars for a one night stay that I was unsatisfied with.....the manager did later call my cellphone when we had left the hotel and made it home saying it was there fault and that their bank had a glitch at their bank and that they were sorry for the experience.....I just left it at that and still did they... last words is that I would not recommend staying here at all. This company could have done something to change my experience after they knew it was there fault but fell way short of good business...
Read moreMy first room (room 206) had hair in the refrigerator, and food in the microwave. So, asked for another room. In the second room there was not hair in the refrigerator, and the microwave was clean. However, there in the second room (216),
refrigerator was dirty the bathroom shower walls were not clean the bathtub had hair in it the mirror in the bathroom was dirty shower curtain was dirty the floors was dirty the coffee maker was not clean.
I ended up cleaning the bathroom shower walls with the Mr clean Erasers, and a wash cloth. The wash cloth was tan in color by the time I got done. Asked for a new shower curtain, got it and put it up. Matter a fact I cleaned everything that needed cleaned the night I checked in (4:00 pm). I didn’t even want to use the coffee maker after I cleaned it.
I talked to the manager the next morning, she said that her front desk person went to the first room and he found a hair in the refrigerator and there was a few crumbs in the microwave. After that all she would say about the room I was in was she was sorry and she could send someone up to clean the room for me. I told her I had already cleaned the room. Then she said she would refund my money and I could find another hotel to stay at. I asked her why would I do that since I already cleaned the room. She did not answer the question. Again all would say was she was sorry, and she would be willing to refund me my money and I could find another hotel to stay at. I feel she just thought I was being picky but if you look at the pictures I posted(this is the second room), you can see most of what I was talking about. Oh and thank goodness I take my own bath stuff because there bathing stuff was 1/3 of a bottle. They did not discount my bill or anything. I thought they should have at least discounted my bill for making me move rooms considering they did find a hair in the refrigerator and crumbs in the microwave in first room they rented me but I got nothing. Honestly the only thing that was nice in the room was the beds, and the room location was fairly quiet.
Breakfast was okay. They had the same thing both mornings I stayed. They did not have much of a variety.
I had to give them at least one star but I was tempted to give them no stars. My stay at the hotel was awful considering I paid almost $250.00 for two nights plus $100.00 deposit(which was refundable). I would not stay at this hotel again. Maybe had the manager spoke to me more politely or was willing to do something to correct the mistakes that their hotel made my opinion and rating might be a little better or even...
Read moreI came with a group who had a block of rooms reserved. The rate was not what you would expect for a group. I know others who booked their rooms separately and received much better rates (up to $30 less per night). When I initially booked my stay there was one person who reserved the block of rooms and I needed to call to change the reservation into my name and provide my card information to book the room. There was a lot of confusion with the folks who booked the room as to what was happening there and several of us in our group had trouble with this. When I arrived the check in was fine and the woman at the front desk was wonderful. The next day however my room key wasn't working and there was nobody at the desk to help me out. I waited about 10 minutes and just left without the items I needed to grab from my room to take with me. I have never seen a hotel operate with one person at the desk at 8:00 PM. I can't recall a single time there was more than one person at the desk and there was nobody there when that person took a break. My room was fine but really just "okay". More than one person in my group had mildew issues in their rooms but mine was fine. There was also some sort of sand or debris at the bottom of the pool and the pool was disappointingly small. The hotel staff was very accommodating about helping those guests and also about giving a better rate to a family member of mine whose reservation had been lost. They were also kind to provide refrigerators and microwaves to those in our group who had requested them and were nice to allow us use of the breakfast room for our group to meet up in the evening. Once I checked out and went home I found out there was a charge of over $1700 pending with my credit card for a 3 day stay. The hotel had "authorized" my card three times as well as charged me for the room. This is still pending on my card 3 days after checkout. When I called to ask about it I was told to expect a call from a manager the next day. I did not receive this call so when I called to discuss it I was told to call my bank. and have the bank call them if needed. My bank told me I needed to have the hotel call them. The manager told me they don't do this but he said he would try and he would call me back to let me know what happened. I did not hear back from him. All in all I slept well and the hotel would have been considered "mediocre and not worth the rate charged", but with the issues with reserving the room and trying to get these charges off my card, the overall experience with this hotel was very...
