I used to be a repeat customer, but I will never return to this restaurant or any of its other locations after the way that I was treated this morning. After managing to lock both my keys and my phone in my car coming in to get breakfast, I asked if I could use their phone to call for my roadside assistance, and if they could look up the number bc I didn't have my phone to look. I genuinely needed help and they (the cashier, and maybe the manager? Not 100% sure who's who) looked incredibly put upon, even though I clearly had no means of calling for it any other way. Obviously, any of us would have no control over how long a call like that can take. Between giving my insurance the info they needed and them putting me on hold to get in touch with someone to come out, it was probably around 10 minutes. I understood the implied need for me to get off the phone as fast as possible without anything needing to be said to me. However, that didn't stop the manager (or rather, whoever isn't cashiering at the time) from pressuring me to get off the phone repeatedly even though I had no control over the person on the other line. I told him I'm sorry, that I'm in an incredibly difficult situation and I wouldn't have asked to use the phone if I didn't need to, and he looked like he couldn't give less of a... Ya know. Very sad, because the one thing I did not lock in my car was my wallet, and I was going to get breakfast as planned while I waited. I didn't after that. I was a person who needed help and some compassion, and not even a boatload of compassion, if we're being honest, just a crumb, and I got treated like a nuisance. So everybody eat where they want, but just be aware this is what you're dealing with,...
Read moreI regret I have to write this review but this is what happened this morning at goodies. My gf and I ordered and sat down , a little while later we hear , I assume , the manager saying wait wait to a customer that was sitting at a table across the way with her food in front of her. He walks over to her table and takes her tray away then brings it to the kitchen. He then took the plate off her tray and switched it with a plate on another tray. It was my tray , then he called my number and tried to give me the plate that was just sitting in front of another customer. He acted like nothing was wrong until I explained that I had seen what he had done then asked if I wanted them to remake it , I said of course and explained to him you cant do that in these times . This is somthing I shouldn't have had to explain , he should have immediately thrown it away and started a new one . But instead he tried to pass it off. Absolutely disgusted I made them give me my money back and left . I will not return. And that type of practice is not forgivable. Careful where you go to eat these days I suggest skipping this place. Just for reference this was...
Read moreSeeing how you're here take a second to check out all of the reviews on Goodies(not so Good).. 90% of them are in regards to the woman behind the counter with the brown hair and the nasty attitude (one of the owners).. terrible customer service, plus they never open their restaurant on time!! Several times I have been there and watched people leave because they were not open at 7:00 a.m. like it is stated on their hours of business. The food is hit or miss. I ordered the fish and chips it was grossly overpriced and the fish was a Frozen cod fillet it was awful. If you really want fish and chips go to the 7 seas restaurant in downtown Milford, one order is $17 but can feed two people and it's absolutely delicious, they never fail.. as far as Goodies no thanks.. I also just want to add that I took my daughter to the Orange Goodies and we watched the people in the kitchen not using any gloves.. picking up raw hamburger meat and hot dogs, cross-contamination in...
