I dined in around 7pm on 1/7 my server Danaija came over and got my friend and I drinks. We ordered a dip sampler and said we were waiting on one other friend. Our server then went into the kitchen and clearly could hear her saying “who tf walks in here this late and is waiting on another person. I’m going to find out what they are ordering because I don’t have time for this sh*t” She walked over with an attitude and asked what the other person would be getting. I said “just a drink is all. Why do you close early tonight because of the snow?” she then just says “well the bar is doing last call”… at 7:55, not true. I don’t question it I put in my friends drink order in who isn’t there and could have been underage for all she knew (she wasn’t but she didn’t ask)
Then as it got closer to 8:30 she sat at the table near us in a completely empty dining room saying to someone else how she’s ready to go home yadda yadda. I was over her attitude I left feeling like I wasn’t going to come back again.
I come in at least once a week with my family and we are ALWAYS treated like family not only from the serves but also the cooks. They know my sons name and make him feel special every single time. If it wasn’t for the other staff being so kind and going out of their way I would NEVER step back into a restaurant that allows a server to cuss out a table that was trying to support local after a snow storm. I have never had Danaija as a server before this time and I will turn right back around and leave if she’s ever my server again. Something needs to be done about this because speaking to my other local friends about my experience I’ve learned I’m not the only one that experienced this same issue with the...
Read morePricey for the quality of food and services. I had the steak frajitas and so did my friend. The waiter did not bother to tell us that they have a frajitas for two for $5 less… just let it go. There was also some confusion with our meals and we were brought the wrong food. After multiple people got involved the right food was brought over but some of the items were brought over like 5 min after the meal and not all at once. As a side dish I had the Texas mashed potatoes, in my opinion it wasn’t tasty at all. When I told the waiter, he proceeded to educate me on Mexican food and basically telling me that I’m stupid, and people love their Texas mashed…:The steak was though and really had to pull to break the strips apart. The margaritas are NYC prices and @ almost $11.50 they are way overprice and almost $1.50 above Delaware’s average, considering that the cost to make one is about $2.50. Even when I called in Sunday to speak with a manager I was given to one person and after explaining my experience, I was given another person..:.not sure who the manager was or if I even spoke to one. Neither one wanted to address the experience I had, so I hung up. In my option, this place has mediocre food and...
Read moreThis is definitely not your average chain-style Mexican restaurant. The food was prepared with care, and with flavors that bring to mind abuellas cooking.
Excellent service from Damien (hopefully I spelled your name right!) started us off on the right track. Taco Tuesday brought a special my husband couldn't pass up, and he was able to sample both the chicken and beef tacos. The option of soft flour, soft corn or crispy corn tortillas was a nice touch. When the tacos arrived they were tasty and generous with the filling. I stayed from the traditional Taco Tuesday fare and got the pineapple fajitas with carnitas. Not one single regret. I told my husband that we may have to Milford (living 30 minutes away seems too far when I want to systematically eat my way through their menu).
Salsas and guacamole were all fresh and had good flavor. Heat levels are likely safe for most diners. The menu has a good variety of veg options, including using jackfruit and cauliflower.
This is a solid choice for a great meal. The wonderful service elevates this to a must stop. Five happy and...
