So I just left here and had breakfast with a few friends. so a few things about me. I manage a restaurant inside a hotel. I understand the difficulty of being a server/ working in an environment that's not to kind to people working in the industry . So my husband and I brought our friends to eat here they live way out of town and We've never eaten here ourselves but heard good things about the food. The food was amazing! I love scrapple and the scrapple was out of this world! Our server was nice, she was very busy and i completely understand that! The reason for the 3 stars is we were finishing up our food and a different girl came to our table asking if we wanted any togo boxes (we already had some but it was closing time and being in the industry i know she was trying to kick us out) my friend politely asked if it was OK for him to finish his food there. She just looked at us, laughed in his face and walked away. . It wasn't a friendly laugh it was a "really roll eyes kind of laugh ". At this point we had already paid for our food . After that she kept staring at us and talking about us to the other staff. I have never been in a place where there servers / wait staff acted like that. I don't expect much when i go out. I'm a very understanding person. I dont need great customer service... just not a negative interaction. . Knowing how amazing the food is and how awful some staff people are it really makes people second guess going back. I felt embarrassed to have brought my friends there and now I'll second guess taking...
Read moreGot here one Wednesday morning at 8:08am and got my food at 8:16am! That's in the door, place the order, to the table, in 8 mins flat. Fastest service I ever gotten so far at any restaurant I've visited. Everyone talks about the servers and the service and I can guarantee it's 100% fact and not a fluke or one time thing. Every customer gets the same great service, busyness willing.
I went around 8 like I said and according to google they normally get busy around 9-11am. It wasn't busy when I went but I do think I got in at the right time because several other people showed up after me. As far as I saw, everyone got their food relatively quickly after sitting down, even with a influx of people coming in.
Staff was friendly and you pay by taking your check up to the counter.
The outside was cool looking and they have great outdoor seating that's covered. I can't wait to go back and have breakfast under it on a good day. Today was chilly so that wasn't an option. They do have a ton of seating available and the inside is very homey and clean. I loved the feel and privacy of the booths. Having the covers over the seats really makes a difference. The food was a little cold in some areas which is odd because of how fast it came out. Everything I tasted tho was delicious and the over easy eggs where...
Read moreOK, I love to review when I travel and I travel alot. I love old time restaurant's and the Westside is one of those special places. You are treated like family the minute you walk in and everyone is smiling and happy. Food is all made to order and very "homemade" and a HUGE menu to pick from. Nightly specials are only second to the giant assortment of desserts! I visited on a Monday. Shelly was my server and the crew were was great! I had the ribeye steak with salad and broccoli...PERFECT! The food was so good I came back a 2nd night. Brittany and crew did it all over again. GREAT! I had the Crab cakes w/salad and coleslaw...HOMERUN! Note: the salad was of mixed greens and FRESH tomatoe wedges. Can't beat that! I saw alot of other meals come out and they were just as impressive. The dessert assortment reads like a book when the servers tell you the list. THIS IS A MUST TRY! Only wish I was here longer to try out the breakfast...oh yeah it's available ALL DAY. KEEP UP...
