If I could give 0 or even negative stars I would. I have never been more appalled by a level of customer service than when we visited this bowling alley on Saturday April 9th. A group of 5 of us came to this bowling alley to celebrate a friend's birthday. He just bought himself a new bowling ball and this was his favorite alley – key word is was since he will no longer be coming here. We get there and they are busy, as usual, which was expected on a Saturday night. We get our name on the waitlist and head to the bar. We spend over 30 minutes in line at the bar, which wasn't very busy so not sure why one bartender was struggling while the three others were behind him chatting it up while stocking the bar, completely oblivious to their coworker who needed help.
We get our lane just over an hour of waiting. When we get all shoed up, we start to bowl and we can't even make it through the first frame without the lane malfunctioning. We requested they reset the lane 2 times until they finally say that the group before us was having the same problems and that they weren't supposed to put anyone else on that lane for the evening per the engineers request. Yet they placed us on it anyway. They shut down the lane and said "We don't have any other open lanes, here is a coupon for 2 hours of free bowling for up to 5 people, have a good night." That's it? We waited over an hour for this lane that should not have been used and you're telling us our night is over and go home? I asked the person working shoe return why they can't put us next on the waitlist for the next open lane and he said "I don't know it wasn't my decision" and then walked away. I finally got to speak with the manager who made the ultimate decision that our night was done and her response regarding why their only option was to send us on our way was because "the people on the waitlist have been waiting for their lane" well SO DID WE! FOR OVER AN HOUR! Only to be given a broken lane that should have been closed down for the night.
Happy birthday to our friend...sorry you didn't get to bowl with your new ball and sorry for this poor excuse of customer service. I will never be giving this establishment another penny. At this point, you can no longer use "short staffed" as an excuse for the worst customer service ever. Learn from this review and do...
Read moreI had a party at Bowlero and Bowlero was kind enough to give us 3 free bowling passes because we had a pretty large reservation. Thinking that this was so nice of Bowlero I went ahead and invited some friends to go bowing again at Bowlero. And in very small font there was limitations on the passes being used only on the weekdays. This felt like a very "bait and switch" tactic.
Seeing my friends and I had drove quite the distance with gas prices being so absurd, we caved in and decided to bowl anyways. Instantaneously when we walked in we were rudely asked to throw out our coffees. I understand this, but the way they asked was so rude as if they were happy to use that authority. It wasn't with a smile, it was in a patronizing and unwelcoming manner.
So, right off the bat, the second time we came to Bowlero.... throw out coffees, your passes are no good right now, and then here's the kicker. We all wanted to get a few beers. Got to the bar and one bartender had said that my friend's license had expired. So, he had a Passport card....now, my friend is not twenty something, she is a full fledged 40 year old. And I understand rules are rules when it comes to alcohol, however even the other bartender was saying to let it slide because my friend had other identification and was very obviously not under the age of 21.
Anyway, we moved on with our night. Moments later the same bartender came over to invasively ask for all our licenses and mind you everyone in that group was 40 years of age and up. The whole atmosphere feels like a place of a bunch of people that abuse their authority to patronize their guests and police them the whole night. We played one game and made our way to the Tulalip Casino, and not a single person questioned my friend.
Will never step in this establishment again, and regret spending an absurd amount of money on a party and then getting baited to come back again on what I thought was a complimentary gift. They should really be more transparent with their customers and definitely work on the staffing. Rules are Rules, but they are just being sticklers. TRUST ME DO NOT GO HERE. I know it sounds like I am being petty, but there is something wrong with the employee empowerment here with the Customers. Very...
Read moreWe went to this place several times to play arcade games and bowling. It is a fun place to hang out with friends. However, our recent visit turned out to be a worst experience. We are a group of 5 went together for bowling. We had two separate Groupon coupons (one we bought just while standing in the line) and we redeemed them at the counter. We were not aware that all 5 should have a single coupon for us to get same lane. We were told that they couldn’t give us one lane instead they have given us 3 separate lanes (one lane each for one Groupon coupon and one lane for the other person who wants to pay there). We requested to add all of us in the same lane as we want to play together as a group but the lady who seems to be a manager mentioned it was not possible ( I still do not understand why). So, we were thinking on how we can play together and talking amongst ourselves by casually sitting in one of the empty lanes (note here is that almost 90% lanes were empty and there were not many customers as well at that time). The same lady came to us all the way from their counter and asked to move out of the lanes along with the shoes with such a rude tone. The thing is I find no reason for her to come and tell to move out in such a rude tone when the lanes are almost empty. Even if she thinks it is against rules or something, there is a respectful way to communicate to the customers instead of acting like this. After a few minutes, we decided to buy a new coupon for 6 people (even though we were 5, there are no Groupon coupons for 5) and went to the counter to redeem it so that we all could play in one lane. The same lady now says that they won’t redeem this coupon as this is bought recently, when we pointed out that how come she redeemed the initial coupons even though they were bought a few minutes before redemption, she felt so uncomfortable before finally giving us a single lane and redeeming the latest coupon. Entire experience of dealing with her was so frustrating and it is not what we expect when we go to a fun place like bowling. There is absolutely no reason to show unnecessary attitude towards customers and try to give false information about...
