I wanted to try this place for over a year but as I worked out of town I just got a chance. Friday night and my best friend is moving so we decided to go get a glass of wine before saying goodbye. I can tell the guy who was there is popular among the town center neighborhood but i was greatly disappointed. We weren't greeted whatsoever walking in. I didn't even know who was working. A man (who says he isn't the owner) finally stood up from one of the tables that had a few people each maybe 5-6 people between two tables. He was short and curt of I'll be with you in a moment. I just kept standing there not knowing what to do. Finally I asked if I should sit anywhere which he said yes. He wasn't friendly or helpful. He was so worried about sitting back down to drink wine himself. We ordered a bottle and another glass. We almost finished the bottle and he never once returned. He was just sitting there socializing. My friend went up to him to finally get his attention as his back was to us the whole time. She tried to order food and he said he couldn't make food because he would have to turn his back. So he gave us a teeny handful of nuts "on the house". I live and work In Mill creek and can't recommend this venue at all. Sad because I could see spending plenty of money on the wine if the customer service...
Read morePurchased a bottle of 2012 Carpineto Brunello di Montalcino while putting it away in wine storage I noticed that the foil had been cut away from the cork. I also noticed that the wine had begun to bleed to the top of the cork. This immediately made me worried as the wine could be corked or at the very least oxidized. I should have returned it then. But, to be honest wasn’t completely happy with the service I had received so had already decided not to return. The sales person had very obvious made assumptions about my knowledge of wine and the price point I could purchase at. I opened the bottle a couple weeks after purchasing and was immediately concerned as the wine had indeed seeped up the cork. I decanted and tasted, not quite corked but the color and flavor are off. Definitely over oxidized and they must have been worried about the seal hence checking the cork and removing the foil. Lesson learned always check the foil and cork before you buy...although this was an unfortunate mistake to make for an $80 bottle of wine. That now I am pained pour...
