We love having a poke spot so close to our home! We used to travel to Redmond every time we wanted poke, which was often, and were ecstatic to hear Just Poke was coming to Mill Creek.
My partner and I have been 6 or 7 times since their soft opening and I want to start off by saying the staff has been welcoming, the food has been deliciously fresh, and the teas/smoothies are the perfect level of fruity without being too sweet! We love the outdoor seating option and always greatly appreciate how clean the restaurant and outdoor tables are every time we go.
However, our biggest disappointment has been the portion sizing. More often than not we leave there feeling unsatisfied. I was moved to leave this review tonight after I received half a scoop of tuna and maybe 3.5 pieces of shrimp in my regular bowl. This has happened 3 or so times so far, so a definite pattern is emerging to us. Every couple of times we go, we leave feeling satisfied, but it’s hard to predict when that will happen. We are more than happy to pay the $13 cost of a bowl and feel it is a fair price, as the food is always great and good food (especially seafood!) does not come cheap, but we have never had this issue at any of the other Just Poke locations and feel it has come from a lack of attention on our servers part. We certainly don’t take it personally, but it’s getting harder and harder to ignore each time it happens.
I want to say again that we have had an overall wonderful experience at this location and look forward to the kinks getting worked out as the new employees get the hang of things. We will certainly return in the future, but perhaps will give it a little more time for the portioning...
Read moreUpdated review, I cannot recommend this place as of now unless there is a change. Impossible to order online through both door dash and uber if you want a large (until just recently when they added the option to but there's issues with how the app is formatted). Consistently mess up online orders and have smaller and smaller portions. Recently ordered online after a while of not having this chain at all. Received a bag/bowl that was almost completely soaked through with a mystery liquid, spring mix that was half wilted/going bad, and the incorrect proteins. This part could be my mistake as every time I've gone in, the "special" protein was tuna, so requesting it through the app I expected tuna, along with specifically requesting scallops and spicy tuna as the other proteins as you get 3 scoops of each for a large. However, I received almost no scallops/tuna, and an extreme large quantity of octopus (which I don't eat), about 2-3 scoops worth, that I'm assuming was the special. I accept it is my mistake for ordering the special and not knowing it could have been octopus but the portion control and quality is getting too bad.
Original: One of the better chains around, super happy they opened a location here so I don't have to go so far south. Slightly smaller portions than other locations but tastes...
Read moreIve been here 20-30 times, so obviously I like it. Their recent menu update is good, though personally I think the old menu was good too so it's not an improvement so much as maintaining a good selection.
My only criticism is that on a couple occasions I've gone and the fish flavor was starting to go bad. Mind you, this is 2 out of nearly 30 visits so it's not common. Also, both of these visits were on days where they had special promotions for discounted bowls. I suspect the increased business just had the employees overworked and the fish spent more time sitting out at the counter. For this reason, I dont visit during those promotional days, and I also am inclined to not visit at the end of the day.
Other than that, I really like the food here, its one of my favorite options...
