TL;DR: great and affordable food to satisfy your cravings! Taco meat is satisfying! The excellent food safety rating is definitely a plus! Great for dine-in for a quick bite or ToGo.

The tacos are $2 each and I'd say about 6-8 are pretty filling for me. They come with 2 different containers of sauces, both were too spicy for my tastebuds but they were flavorful nonetheless. All tacos contain the meat of choice along with, chopped white onion, cilantro and some pickled carrot and radish on the size. I was really impressed with the meat flavors and texture. Each taco really didn't need sauce because the meats were salted and flavored enough -- just a squeeze of lime did the trick for me! The texture of the meats really wowed me -- slightly crispy on the outside and not burnt at all but still tender on the inside. Very satisfying! Also, big fan of the double taco layer to prevent rips and unnecessary loss of taco bowels.

No Taco Tuesday specials because every day is special, haha.

Parking: small shared lot with the gas station:

Atmosphere: located inside the mini mart of the gas station, limited counter height tables and chairs.

Service: order and pay at the front, your order will be called.

Kid Friendly: no high chairs.

Menu: located above the cash register and above the pick up zone.

Horchata: was too sweet in my opinion. It also has dairy in it for anyone sensitive -- they used sweetened condensed milk. There was a hint of cinnamon in it but no ground cinnamon in the drink itself -- it was pure white. I'm assuming cinnamon sticks were infused into the rice...

Update: Their food is still amazing. However I have to call them out on their shady business practices. They show a lower price on their in-store menu and charge higher when paying for the food. When I caught them in the act the owner became belligerent and asked us to get out of the store. It is illegal and they are cheating customers. We would have even paid the higher price for their food if not for how they treated us when I pointed out their unfair practices. They shooed us out of the store and behaved very unprofessionally in front of other customers. I have to call them for that they are - CHEATERS.

Original Review: This is a highly underrated Mexican fast-food restaurant. They prices are very reasonable even when compared to other "inexpensive" food-trucks. Their food hits the spot every time. Their vegetarian quesadillas are the best. Tortas are filling. Burritos are huge. Had to remove one star as they add surcharge for paying with the card, which is fine considering their prices are low, but they do not mention the amount of surcharge. Recommend...

I came here because of the good reviews, so I'm happy to give one back to this restaurant so others might find a good spot to eat. The place was empty on a Wednesday around 6pm so I don't think a lot of people know about the location yet because the strip mall isn't in the best area. The dining area and kitchen were clean, music was authentic, the food was incredible, exactly what I wanted. They were able to customize the Chimichanga like I want with half steak and half carnitas even though I could tell that wasn't normal, she was able to accommodate me. Next time I'll try the chicken. Chimichanga wasn't greasy and it was served on a salad which makes me feel like I'm easting healthy. I asked for Salsa Verde and it wasn't overly spicy, more sour from the vinegar and a little bit sweet maybe. It complimented the meal really well. I ate about 75% of the food and saved the rest for a snack later. I will definitely be back and $15 for a lunch and a half is a bargain. Thank...

Came based on the reviews. Interesting place to eat since it's inside the convenience store. You order with the front cashier and get your food at the back of the store. They have a counter with 4 seats and 2 bar tables each with 4 seats. That said, food was quite tasty and the people are super nice! We ordered a Carne Asada Plate, along with some tacos, a sope and a mulita just to try different meats and menu items. It was all very tasty. Really enjoyed the mulita and fish taco. Also ordered a Horchata and that was great too!

Taqueria Talpense is a Mexican food counter inside of a grocery store. Parking outside can get busy but they have spots a bit further down since it's in a strip mall. Inside you order from the counter, their menu has a good amount of items and prices are a bit high. Portion sizes are good and it's all made fresh as you order. They have about a half dozen tables inside but most people take it to go. It's a pretty popular spot and food comes out relatively quickly. Asada Taco plate was good so I'd go for it again.
