I ordered on DoorDash for sushi blue. It arrived. The bag felt kind of heavy and when I opened it up the to go container couldn’t even stay shut because there was so much food in it. While this might be a good problem, it’s not what I was looking forward to with a standard spicy tuna roll. In fact, the role is more like a burrito with a slab of raw salmon slapped across the top of it. There was no room inside of the container dressing on the top is all smeared around. That’s not the problem. The problem is that the sushi look like it was a first time preschooler who trained using Play-Doh. I googled it. I wanted to know if I was losing my mind because this was basically a full-size Mexican burrito shaped sushi roll. The portions of rice to seaweed to tuna were all over the map and it looked like somebody who would never made sushi made this. I thought it was abnormally heavy so I weighed it. After reading a small piece of sushi and attempting to eat some of this last night the final weight this morning was 1 pound 10 1/2 ounces! For One roll! This is incredibly absurd and ridiculous. I’ve tried to call the store a couple times but their mailbox is full and they don’t answer their phone. I am literally irritated enough that I’m contemplating going down to the store and throwing this on the counter; they should be embarrassed and I have no problem sharing this information with everybody else in our community where I’m well networked. Read moreSushi Blue has amazing value! Rolls here are generous and large, perfect for sharing and very filling. The main complaint is a lack of variety, most rolls are simply filled with imitation crab meat and the exterior is the unique selling point. I thought the Mt. Denali Roll was supposed to come with unagi and salmon, unfortunately I misread and it comes with unagi sauce. Already had a salmon heavy order, so was looking forward to the additional unagi but overlooked that. Because of this, it seems like a lot of the rolls are simply California rolls with salmon or tuna integrated somehow.
House Combo A - 8 tuna rolls, 8 shrimp rolls, rice with unagi, and 2 shrimp nigiri. House Combo B - 8 tuna rolls, 8 salmon rolls, 4 salmon nigiri, 2 shrimp nigiri House Combo C - 8 tuna roll, 8 bluefin tuna roll, 4 bluefin tuna nigiri, 2 shrimp nigiri
All combos are solid. Combo C is the best for tuna and higher quality fish, Combo B is best for salmon, and combo A is best for cheap value that's filling (mainly the fact that half a unagi rice bowl is included). You don't need all 3, I just wanted to compare. They're all good in their own ways.

Read moreLove the sushi and the prices. But here are a few things to consider before ordering online. I'm not sure if you can walk in and order, you may say, well just call.....they NEVER answer. They also only offer take out/pick up. This evening I ordered 3 rolls at 5:45ish. There wasn't a option to pick up ASAP. The next available pick up times were 7:20-7:35. Normally that would be a pass because, 3 rolls shouldnt take more than :30? I'm not a sushi chef, but an hour and half seems like a long time to me. Luckily I had things to do prior to pass the time. At 7:07 I got a text saying my ordered can't be fulfilled. I'll get the refund, it's whatever. I guess my irritation comes from the lack of professional communication. No one picks up, after multiple attempts. They also should've said that my order couldn't be fulfilled long before 6:30 IMO. As someone who has worked in the food/CS industry, if a place is popular and busy (due to TT), don't have online ordering available if the supply can fit the demand. I'll probably give this place a couple more tries but the communication needs to be worked on. I can only imagine how many sales/questions they're missing out on because they choose to not...
