Public Storage — Local services in Mill Creek

ORIGINAL: The staff here is great and they keep the site clean and as safe as possible.

UPDATED REVIEW: Removed 5 star review status. The staff made an error with our paperwork when our account was opened. In summary, they are charging us $74 a month for a unit which our contract says is $60 a month. I've tried to ger their help to fix this. They admit the error and politely tell me they emailed some boss at a remote location and that person will get to it eventually. I will never use Public Storage again. They are in violation of a contract and have poor customer service, at least when it comes to fixing their own mistakes.

2nd UPDATED REVIEW: The same day I posted my 1st Updated review we were contacted by Public Storage. They have apologized, refunded our last $74 payment and said that from now on our autopayment should be deducted from our bank account correctly at $60.

We appreciate the gestures thus far, are angry it took a bad review to finally make headway with this issue, and will reserve final satisfaction that the problem is resolved after we see what we get charged next month. There is still a bit of finger-pointing within their company about who can or can't do what and excuse making. As the customers, my husband and I felt like they are taking a systemic issue within Public Storage at large and making it their customers' problem. The staff at the site we use are very polite. They seem to work for a company that hamstrings them from solving (OBVIOUS) problems efficiently and effectively. Neither the customer nor the employee trying to address the OBVIOUS error should have to sit around waiting for some random person up the chain of command at some distant location to MAYBE read and respond to an email... and then perhaps kick the problem to the next guy up the chain add nauseam. It was frustrating for us and probably stressful for Gary and Amber at our local Public Storage.

So, Today is the last day i am able to store my belongings in the space they are in and even though I have been trying to aquire storage for the past week, i could never get off work before they closed. But, today, by some kind of miracle, I was actually off work early enough to arrive  before closing time of 6pm. I got there with 10 minutes to spare!!! Now, when I got inside the cashier informed me that even though I was there 10 minutes before they closed, she had already started to close down the register and payment system so I would not be able to set up my account after all.  Needless to say I was crushed and at a complete loss as to what I was going to do now because I had to move my belongings TONIGHT. Kimberly must have seen the color leave my face, along with the big smile I had when I first entered the building because she immediately  retracted what she just told me and said she would of course help me and make sure I didn't leave without what I needed.  I could have squeezed her!  She literally saved me.My day. And most of all. My stuff!!  She was so incredibly sweet and helpful, taking the extra time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions with a smile and never once showed that i was in any way a bother or that by helping me she made her own night longer.  She gave no thought to her own needs she just took care of me!  I am so so so grateful for Kimberly being on shift tonight, for her patience.
