The waitress Sally here, has the worst attitude ever I experienced in my life. I entered and was seeking a table to sit down for ordering the food for take away. She has such a rude attitude and she was so grumpy, she never welcomed me with a nice face. Then I told her I was going to order food for takeout, she never handed me a menu until I asked her for it. Then I wanted to place the order, she was so grumpy, I told her I wanted the burger. Then she stared at me. for the burger toppings, I asked her whether it was $2 for one topping, her attitude was so bad. Then she asked me how I wanted the burger to be cooked, I don’t understand the question first, so I asked her what were the options. then she questioned me you don’t know how burgers are cooked? Then she rolled her eyes and said medium or medium rare or medium well. The burger option has side salad or sweet potato fries, I asked her why she never asked me for the option, she just said it was standard. Finally, the worst worst thing I can ever experience at a restaurant, she later came to me asking what was wrong with me, do I need anything, I told her because she had an attitude. Then she said it was me who had the attitude and it worked both ways. She then took the receipt and said she can refuse a customer and asked if I want to cancel it. I didn’t say anything and then she just took it and cancel the order. I really no idea why she had this kind of attitude...
Read moreWhen you read this review, please remember that it’s about an airport eatery, the sort of establishment that typically evokes images of bland food, lackadaisical service, and mile high prices. But there are a handful of airports in the United States that are beginning to wise up to the value of having a certain cache with discerning travelers. Airports like SFO are resourcing to impress travelers with not just the breadth of services offered but more significantly the depth of quality.
Cat Cora’s Kitchen is one good example of this. The menu features fresh ingredients, bright flavor profiles, and a la minute preparation. I will not pan this menu or any menu that reflects this level of effort to please, that exhibits an understanding that someone that’s about to embark on a most common human experience involving long periods of enforced inactivity should have a little cheering up before. You may be flying but the comestibles are pedestrian.
Of note, the beers on tap are different than what’s available elsewhere in SFO, and in an entirely wonderful way! At the time of this writing they featured Fieldwork Brewing Co. I can’t imagine a better way to begin a long-haul flight than fortifying or refreshing with one of their well-balanced, flavorful, and always thoughtfully put together brews! For that alone, Cat Cora’s Kitchen gets an enthusiastic swipe...
Read morecame to sit down- been flying for over 24 hours. i came and sat down and eat a sandwich by the window airport. and a server came and told me that i could not sit down unless i bought something. I asked her if i could just eat my sandwich because ive been flying for over 25 hours and theres virtually noone there and i wasnt aware. she said no and when i asked if why the "chef" watched me sit down, pull out all of my stuff, open my sandwich, and sit there for nearly 5 minutes, couldnt sy anything. She had a really poor attitude and began to get really defensive and might i say, rude. im repacking my things while she is just going on about how its my fault even though theres no sign where i went to sit down. it was very rude and unwelcoming behaviour. i told her that and she said, "well youre trying to blame the chef" which really doesnt make sense because whats there to blame? so she acknowledged she was being rude and doing it on purpose. lol terrible customer service and hospitality. 12-30-2024 at 1550 hours. id like to add that the chef was sitting there laughing and shaking his head. just plain rude and...
