This is one of the nicest domestic airport terminals in the United States. Great restaurants that reflect the lifestyle and culinary qualities of San Francisco.
The shops are lovely, the lighting is excellent and the redesign included plenty of electrical outlets for recharging your gadgets, as well as, water bottle refilling stations that enable travelers to take some of San Francisco's wonderful, fresh, Sierra Mountain (Hetch-Hetchy) water with them on their flight. If you're flying anyone but American or Alaska you're missing one of San Francisco's most delightful attractions...
And, be sure to check out the American Airlines Admirals Club while you're there. Although it is a members only facility, they'll be glad to give you a tour and if you like what you see, but can't justify the annual membership, consider a $50 Day Pass (also honored at your final destination or any Admirals Club along the way).
Attention Alaska Airlines passengers: Alaska closed it's Lounge when it moved out of Terminal 1 and the San Francisco Admirals Club does not have a cooperative agreement with Alaska.
