Just paid $70 for a bowl of loaded tots and 2 “margaritas”.
We ordered the tots ($20 with pork) to share and two margaritas.
The margaritas were so gross that I took two sips and couldn’t finish it. Straight lemon juice and tequila.
Tots were okay, but kinda soupy at the bottom. She only brought one fork when we made it pretty clear we were sharing it.
However, when she brought the bill, they had added $2 to each margarita compared to the menu price. I showed her the receipt and she said that I ordered “premium” margaritas. I said “No ma’am, I ordered the ones off your menu. I’d like the menu price.” (Please note that if they were halfway decent margaritas, I wouldn’t have cared - but seeing as I couldn’t even drink it, I definitely wasn’t paying more than I had signed up for. I wasn’t returning it or asking for a refund. I just wanted to pay the $18.99 price on the menu).
After a few minutes, she comes back to our table with the corrected receipt. My husband tries to offer his card and she just walks off. A minute later she walks back over with the credit card machine. You couldn’t just say that you were coming right back?? No - so unprofessional.
When she swiped his card, it didn’t even ask him about gratuity - so I’ll be watching my bank account to see what they decide to add on to the check.

Read moreWorst margarita I’ve ever had. It was full of lemon juice and very acidic and I couldn’t even drink it. Menu said Don Julio Margarita with fresh lime juice. They definitely don’t use fresh anything. Loaded tots were undercooked and falling apart almost like they had been soaking wet, it was barely structured ground potatoes covered in cheese sauce. The pork was the kind that you’d find in pho. It’s was a weird, nasty combination. The service was horrible and they tried to upcharge the margarita to a Cadillac margarita when we didn’t order a Cadillac and they didn’t give us a Cadillac, then changed their story and said the upcharge was for a premium margarita… it said DonJulio right on the menu. Save yourself the frustration and stay away...
Read moreI chose this place over Lark Creek Grill right across the hall due to my familiarity with Sweet Maple and because it seemed less crowded. However, it’s nothing like the Sweet Maple in Lower Pac Heights.
I ordered the regular breakfast, which included scrambled eggs, bacon, and tater tots. The scrambled eggs were dry, tasted like they had just come out of the microwave, and the portion was small.
To top it off, they served my food on a plastic plate despite me dining in the restaurant, which was disappointing. At least at Lark Creek Grill , you get a full plate of food with proper plates...
