Noodle soups always have a special place in my heart. Having been to Noodles & Things in San Mateo, I was already familiar with the ordering regimen. I opted for the original broth with knife cut noodles and the chef's combo for toppings. Overall, it was delicious. The broth was delivered PIPING HOT and was great for a cool bay evening. Texturally, the broth was light yet rich with flavor! As for the bowl, it was generous on the seafood and beef balls. I also liked the additions of baby spinach, corn niblets, and mushrooms. The only not so good part were the knife cut noodles which were totally not knife cut noodles. My friend who ordered the dry version agreed - she mentioned her sauce was on point but the noodles weren't right and bordered on gummy. As for my other friends' orders, the laksa broths were again on the thin side. I was however very grateful that they accommodated a vegetarian friend. The top does say all broths are bone based but there is a vegetarian option if you ask. Good to know! Noodles & Things won't ever be the most amazing bowl of noodles you've ever had but in a pinch it will definitely hit the spot and do the trick.

HEALTHY GOOD TASTING SOUP In this restaurant I found good healthy food, very fast service, reasonable price, efficient waitress, clean seating, well lit room. Last night I had a Ramen with traditional broth, and fish cake tofu. Their BROTH is truly wholesome, not a hint of artificial seasoning. The nutritional goodness of the broth is unmistakable. I regularly do bone broth at home so I do trust the quality of the restaurant broth. The RAMEN NOODLES were firm and chewy, not soggy at all. The FISH CAKE TOFU tasted quite good, no heavy texture that comes from too much added flour. The portion is quite good. I doubt if anyone remains hungry after consuming one bowl. The soup is topped with some spinach, mushrooms, onions and other condiments. On a windy cold day, after a good workout at the gym, this soup provides all I need to recover nicely. On a previous occasion, I did try the ChieuChau style broth but find it too spicy for me. The Traditional Flavor is perfect because I can add the good Hot Sauce on the table to my taste. One warning though—the soup is quite hot so be patient and slowly taste it to make sure that it won’t burn your mouth. Finally the PRICE is quite reasonable, mostly in the lower or average range compared to other restaurants in the Bay Area. This is my FAVORITE eatery on...

Came around 6 and almost all noodles were sold out. The broth was actually pretty good just be sure to mix in the bottom. -The chicken was seasoned great but I would say half were dry and half were juicy -beef rib was good. Soup had a good taste, rib was braised well, -beef noodle soup was kind bland, however all toppings that came with it were delicious -mala soup was really good. Spice enjoyers will really like the customized soup menu. I just would not recommend it with the sweet potatoes noodles.

Although my experience was subpar the staff and service are top notch and super nice. They offered to switch out my noodles with some new ones or a different noodle free of charge. I will give this place a try again since i believe with the right noodles in stock it would most definitely...
