Now, we have given this restaurant 2 chances for success, service and kitchen staff are the problem! No one steers the ship. Arrived for dinner at 5pm, normally enough time for Papermill Play Night. Waited to be seated 5-7 mins 2 young waitresses, already looked UNDER, first clue that there was a issue, got seated another 15 mins or so, finally got acknowledged, drink order another 15 mins, drinks served 10-15 additional mins, finally food order, by 5:45, @ 6:10 9 yr old was worried about eating for 7pm show, 6:20 personal pizza came out, NO OTHER FOOD, finally told waitress to pack up, she said 5 mins 6:30 NO OTHER FOOD, FINALLY DEMANDED FOOD PACKED AND YOUNG LADY WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN REASON, WHY SERVICE SUCKED AND HOW FAR THEATRE IS!!!!! Did try to tell her it Wasn't are First Rodeo, on that I really didn't care why we never ate. Food is good, But don't plan on eating here before a show unless you Pre Order The Food or give yourself 3 Hours! Of course we were told no Owner or Manager was available they would be in touchnext day. We Shall SEE!!! Needless to say arrived to theatre 6:50 we would have had 10 mins to eat!!!...

Went here for the 1st time with my daughter. Wanted to order 2 slices of plain pizza. Front hostess told me to stand to the side and wait. I had a cane didn't want to be seated all the way in back. I waited till they cleaned table in front. She didn't come back to make sure we were seated. I mean I understand restaurants get busy, but geesh.. So I sat me & my daughter down myself. No one never came and took our order. I had to stop the front hostess again, she said someone will take the order. No one didn't, she did it, like 10 minutes later!!! The other hostess Daniella needs to be fired!!! Rude, not friendly, she sat our water down, no smile, look like she had a attitude, I said Thank You & she still didn't reply!! We ate our food, the pizzas was good. But I had enough, took my bill and paid in the front, because again no one came to our table !! Won't be...

Recently switched pizza providers to this place. Unfortunately, the pizza is just not good. The dough is mediocre at best, and their margherita pizza is an embarrassing product. Mozzarella cheese is a core component of margherita pizza. However, this establishment has skimped on the cheese to an unacceptable degree. I get it. Good mozzarella is an expensive ingredient. But trying to save cost by essentially eliminating major ingredient, and thus rendering the pizza essentially trash, is a gross disrespect of the customer. If you can’t make money on the product due to the cost of production, then raise the prices!!! I would rather pay a couple bucks more for a quality product, than waste money on this sad failure that is considered to be the same as “Pizza”. I would like to extend my gratitude to the restaurant for its good service and friendly...

We had dinner here with friends on a Thursday night. The place was almost empty and very quiet. But they said on Saturday nights the place is packed and fairly noisy--which is true pretty much everywhere. The prices here are low compared to other restaurants we dine at, so we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the food was delicious and huge portions. The strawberry salad was so large they served it on two plates. The veal saltimbocca, seafood dish, and chicken dishes were all perfectly prepared and delicious. The restaurant has no parking, so you have to find it on the street. Or you can park in the large municipal lot on Essex Street, which is just one block away. This is a BYOB, so you can bring your favorite wine. This is not a fancy place with no unusual dishes, just good basic Italian cooking. We will return.

My food was 😋 delicious!!! From the dinner menu, I had the pork flank, which was cooked slowly, very tender and delicious!!! It came with a vegetable medley of yellow squash, carrots, and garlic, which was really good. It also came with mashed potatoes, which were also very good. The presentation of the food was excellent also! I had key lime pie. It was not what I expected. It was too tart, and the size of the pie was very small and slim. The coffee was a little strong, so I had to add a little extra milk. The service of the Server was very good, friendly and helpful. It is a small homey Italian restaurant, which reminded me of my vacation in Italy. Overall, the restaurant was a very nice experience.

Charming, cozy, romantic dining room. Service is always excellent—especially if Larry is serving guests!—but more important, the food is excellent, always fresh and flavorful. Tonight’s bread, served with entres, was a delicious focaccia. Portions are generous and prices are low compared to so many other local restaurants that in reality offer so much less. Gian Marco is a great place to enjoy a private, delicious, cozy meal—with wonderful ambiance, but without a lot of overpriced posturing and pretense.
