Loved this place, we usually go every couple weeks. Only 1 car there so knew they werent busy. Walked in tonight after working all day, all but a few tables were dirty with plates, etc, girl employee was laughing so loudly even the man sitting waiting for his wife to check out made a face at me. I walked around the corner, to find more tables loaded with dishes, and 2 guys sitting back there (guess that's who made the young lady laugh so hysterically). No one said a word to me, so I turned and walked out. Went to China buffet instead. Not sure why with employees getting paid to work, there were that many dirty tables, bothersome....this was app 630 1/18. The long blonde was ringing someone up so at least she was earning her wages.... what's happened to work ethics? Who would want customers coming in to a mess like that while they have time to sit and goof around?? Clean the tables (there were ALOT), then relax. I...
Read moreOne thing that is absolutely GREAT about Waffle House, is the that most of the food is cooked to order, and delivered to your table, or counter spot, piping hot.
Today, I had grits, and a Blueberry waffle.
While I'm use to Yellow corn grits, these White corn grits with (and even without) the butter spread were delicious! I even compared them to my mother's. And, for me to do that, they have got to be good.
When the waffle was delivered, at first I thought, where's the blueberries? Turns out they're inside the waffle, similar to the filling in a pop tart.
The waffle was very good. But, I think I like it better with a plain waffle, and a compote on top.
However, here's another WH were the staff is plentiful. But, cleaning tables and the floor (under the counter, and 2 tables were quite dirty). doesn't seem like a priority to them.
Yes, they were quite busy. But, I observed 2 of them yakking about...
Read moreTraveling and go to waffle House often...daily where I live. Most attempt to accommodate the customer. These people are just ridiculous. I asked for a hash brown bowl minus the meat. Every other waffle house writes it up separately, but the manager here says the corporate policy is to charge the regular price. They kept the meat. Why am I paying for something they kept, didn't cook or serve. Plus the price for two eggs and cheese is $7!!! And then the server wanted to charge me separately for more cheese. The server never even offered me a refill of coffee. I didn't order toast but he brought it anyway. I asked why since I didn't order it. He said because it came with the plate, yet wrote the ticket up individually. Insanity!!! Dealing with Walmart minds at this place. Will never return and recommend others avoid as well. In fact, I'm done with Waffle...
