I'm not sure what the sticker on the bottom of salad means when it says "Use By" 4/18 with no other information on it including no "Employee" or "Manager" initials but when my wife bought a grilled chicken BLT salad, she never knew about to check the sticker on the bottom. When I got home about 30 minutes after she directly came home from Jack's she told me she got me a salad.
Well I didn't feel like eating anything for dinner because I was mentally exhausted from my day. I woke up Saturday morning after a great night of sleep at about 2pm Saturday. I guess I needed some sleep.
I immediately went for the salad because it looked pretty good the night before. When I opened it I was disappointed in it's size. It was already in a small container but it didn't even fill the box much more than half way. You could actually see the bottom of the inside of the container through the salad. When I slid the salad into the bowl the container was about half full of either water or condensation. Yep basically Salad Soup.
I get it we bought it on the 19th and tried to eat it on the 20th, but what's one day, right. It was better than half the contents of any Chick fil a salad but I still wasn't that hungry so it would probably be just right. When I looked at the meats, the bacon was clumped together like it was put in hot and it did what bacon does. No problem because I was able to break it up in small enough pieces to almost make it salad size little boulders.
The chicken however was an embarrassment. It looked like it was a small piece of the most gritty and grizzly piece of chicken they had in the store. It was grilled and broken into pieces but also all clumped together. I tried to break it apart it was still all connected together with like tendons or grizzle and I couldn't bust it up.
For a chicken place to put a piece of chicken in their salad like that, well I'd be embarrassed to hand that to a customer. I had already put the salad dressing on, which was awesome but that's when I noticed the chicken. HOWEVER that's not all I noticed, I noticed the smell. Something in this salad smelled rancid. That's where I stopped and threw this abomination away.
That's when I noticed the sticker on the bottom that said use by 4/18 with no other information. So I can't tell you when it was made because that was not filled out, nor was the initials of the employee or manager. So who knows when it was made. I get it Jack's is a chicken place and not a salad place but i really didn't expect much because of previous experiences eating there.
My experiences at Jack's has been hit and miss. I've had chicken sandwiches that were great and I've had flavored chicken sandwiches that were awful. Specifically the buffalo and spicy sandwiches were off and smelled like bad fish and didn't have any real taste.
As far as quality, I don't think anyone can beat Chick fil a so they lead the salad category. It's not as good as McAlister's but McAlister's tastes like the box that is made from recycled materials. And Zaxby's believe it or not was even worse than Jack's, even when Zaxby's was fresh. Zaxby's was awful but I was still able to eat it.
With my experiences at Jack's I won't be coming there again because it was 50/50 good at best and with the salad fiasco, well it's off our fast food list.
Buttermilk ranch dressing was great but I wasted it on the salad. As far as I can say, the salad dressing is all Jack's has going for it. I'd still like to know how old this salad was when my wife bought it but the sticker wasn't filled out and with that kind of quality control I'd assume that's how the rest of the food quality is maintained and I'm not comfortable coming back to this relatively new store and they should be embarrassed charging money for their food.

Read moreNEVER AGAIN! I don't know what is wrong with the crew at this particular Jack's location, but it just seems like they just don't care! The second time I visited this location, I used the app to order myself in a classmate lunch. I ordered at 10:00 a.m., to pick up by 12:15 p.m. . It seems like the food that I ordered had been sitting since 10:00 a.m. when we arrived at 12:00 p.m.! Jack's usually has pretty good food, but this time was not the case! I decided to give it a third try, and use the coupon they sent me for a free big jack on the app! I get to the restaurant, tap redeem in restaurant, tell the cashier that I'm using my coupon for a free Big Jack, and she proceeds to charge me full price for a combo! I was in a rush, so I wasn't paying attention, and I paid the full price! So what is the point of giving those "perks", if you're not able to use them, or if your employees don't know how to use them! I didn't really want to mention this part, but the two people that went ahead of me were greeted nicely, and so was the person behind me, I didn't get the same greeting! She also didn't listen to me, which is probably the reason why she didn't apply the coupon! I didn't get my drink, she put my food on a tray as if I was eating in, when I told her that it was to go! I am not one to lie on this review, but even on my brokest day, when there is literally nothing else left open to eat. I will never step foot in, nor drive-thru THIS Jack's ever again! I can't speak for other locations, but this one in Millington acts if there is no other competition around! Sonic is down the street, Burger King is down the street, McDonald's is down the street, soon Chick-fil-A will be down the street! Hardee's is down the street, Zaxby's is down the street, and a plethora of other restaurants! You're not the only game in town! I will spend my...
Read moreDear Jack's Customer Service, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to the Jack's location in Millington, TN. I believe it is essential to bring to your attention the issues I encountered with my order. On 2/07/2024, I visited the Jack's restaurant in Millington and ordered a three-piece chicken dinner, expecting to receive a breast, two wings, a biscuit, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes, as indicated on the menu. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations, and I encountered the following discrepancies: • Instead of the expected breast, I received a thigh. The order included two wings, which aligns with the menu description. • However, the order lacked the promised biscuit. Instead of the anticipated coleslaw, I received green beans. • Mashed potatoes I received. I understand that errors can occur, but the multiple inaccuracies in my order significantly affected my dining experience. I couldn’t address the issue with the staff at the restaurant, I didn’t notice the inaccuracies till I arrived home in Memphis, TN. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate actions to ensure that such discrepancies do not reoccur. As a customer, I believe it is crucial for the restaurant to uphold its standards and provide the quality of service promised to patrons. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt resolution. Thank you for your understanding and...
