Waffle & Pancake House — Restaurant in Millington

I'm only giving one star because it won't let me give zero. I've been here three times now and they are always busy and people seem to really enjoy their food. The food is okay (not the best but it's affordable) and I don't really have any complaints about the food or the service. The first time we went, everything was fine. On our second visit, the manager, Jordyn, was very rude to her staff and "correcting" them loudly in front of guests. She did it multiple times and did not once try to correct them in private. She made sure to belittle their efforts on a very busy Saturday but actually did nothing to help them. Instead, she sat at the front counter stuffing her face with french fries while her staff ran around taking care of customers. She then continued to pick on one particular lady like a mean girl. It was as if she wanted to publicly humiliate them. I thought maybe it was just the stress of having a very busy day and maybe she was overwhelmed so we gave it a third try. I witnessed her AGAIN today yelling at her staff that were obviously doing their best and once again, if front of CUSTOMERS. I can't imagine how she made them feel but I could see it on their faces. I can't be the only person that has noticed this! I guess she's on a power trip and thinks it's okay to treat her staff poorly!!! Any business that treats their employees like that does not deserve any kind of good rating! I don't care how busy your business is or how "good" the food is.. the way you treat people matters and I will never go back and I will never recommend...

Let me tell you, my recent experience at Waffle Pancake was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a warm welcome from the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, readily answering my questions about the menu and offering recommendations with enthusiasm. It truly set a positive tone for the entire meal.

But let's get to the star of the show: the waffle pancake itself! Oh my goodness. It was cooked to absolute perfection – golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside, while remaining wonderfully fluffy and light on the inside. The flavor was simply divine, a perfect balance of sweet and savory that made each bite a pure delight.

What truly blew me away, however, was the sheer amount of food you get for the price. I ordered the meat omelet and the portion was incredibly generous. I honestly felt like I was getting more than my money's worth. It was a substantial and satisfying meal that kept me full and happy for hours.

It's rare to find a place that offers such high-quality food, served with such genuine kindness, and at such a reasonable price point. Waffle Pancake has truly hit the sweet spot. I generally don’t go to local restaurants because of previous bad experiences-BUT…this place was awesome! There were so many people waiting and I knew this was a great place to eat. I’m from GA and my mom lives here; so we came on Saturday around 11 am and oh my…soooo many people waiting but we were seated sooner than I thought.

Mia was our waitress and she was awesome!! She got a big tip because attitude is everything!! She got our 4 orders right; and what I like especially about this place everyone works together; she placed our order; others brought it out - hot!! That’s the way it should work vs having it all placed on the waitress.

Before we were seated; one customer said “I’ve been here and I come each weekend-the food is great!” Well, I’m VERY picky and they delivered. When I’m back in town I will come back but not while it’s so busy.

One recommendation-EXPAND! Yall need a larger place. When you have great food and EXCELLENT service it goes a very long way and people spread the word and they come back! Oh and they honor military which is great because not everyone does.
