Visited this location Sat 6/25/22 around 11, Visited this location Sat 6/25/22 around 11/11:30pm for my initial order & visited the Bridgeville location hoping to rectify the issue at approx 12am Sun 6/26/22 and ordered a Mac n cheese bowl (Mac n mashed on bottom and chicken strips on top with corn bread and bbq dip on the side) I was traveling to Baltimore, so I decided to pick up food on the way down my route.(My route began in Millsboro,De) I didn't open the food until I was in Seaford, which is when I see bbq sauce splattered all across the top, saturating both the chicken strips and Mac n mashed potatoes... I'm big on my food not touching, especially with condiments. & even with wiping off what was covered I still couldn't tolerate the taste, nor the fact that about 25% or more of my food had to be wasted without compensation of some kind, or just simply having my order made as requested. So I stop to the next nearest Wawa, hoping they're nice enough to fix the mistake their fellow store made, as I'm not from the area, and heading the opposite direction of the original store But unfortunately without even attempting to verify my order (bc I had the receipt in my hand) The woman proceeds to hardly listen to my issue and walks to her GM and then walked back to me saying they couldn't fix the order , and she advised that I return to the original store, in her words "it's not that far away" Now I'm not one to make a big deal out of nothing, but I hadn't ate all day, and the original store messed up my order and all I wanted was for my order to be made as it should have been, and being the fact that I've worked for Wawa before, I assumed they wouldn't have a problem fixing the issue especially since it was the same store name, just a different location. & Being the fact that I'm traveling and couldn't afford to circle back, I was terribly offended when the woman suggested I simply return to the original store as though this wasn't a further inconvenience As for both stores I'm very dissatisfied with the service, there was definitely something within their power they could of done to ensure the food was made properly to order (Millsboro Store) & when presented with the situation (Wawa in Bridgeville) definitely could of done something to better ease & accommodate the situation. & especially being a prior Wawa employee and ALWAYS putting the needs of customers first I'm very unhappy with my service and experience today. Experiences like this make me never want to visit another Wawa again..

PSA - If you see the bathrooms broken, reconsider any unpackaged food. I have been visiting WAWA for over a decade and always make a stop when in the North East. It's the preferred stop when we take road trips there. This is the first time a WAWA location has stood out for the wrong reasons. I stopped by the first WAWA en route from VA for a quick restroom stop and coffee, only to notice that all the restrooms were closed for maintenance. This seemed odd, as it's normal to have a part closed for maintenance, so the customer and employees use the rest. When I spoke to the attendant, I was told it was due to a water pressure issue (which says it's not a today problem). They had to choose between water pressure in the kitchen and restroom, and they chose the kitchen. Also, the location sold fresh food like other WAWAs. The next question was, where would you suggest the customers use the restroom? She pointed me to a Walgreens next door. When I asked her what the employees were doing, she said they had potter potty's in the back. We paid for our snacks and coffee and walked out. A few significant concerns here If the employees use potter potties, which mostly don't have running water, they don't have water to wash their hands before returning to work in the kitchen, where they make fresh food. This also seems to violate the state health code that requires employees to wash hands before returning to work. If the kitchen is the only place where they can wash their hands, it's likely the same sink for washing hands as making food after the employee walks to the back of the store to the potter potty and back. Given the water issues, the right thing for the store would have been to prioritize the restrooms over the kitchen, as that is what the customers are mostly there for on a state highway, and the employees don't have to use potter potties. They may be upset there is no fresh food, but at least they don't have to second-guess. One bad experience like this leaves a stain on the entire brand. 1 Star for the situtation, hard to focus on the rest of the store. Visited - 8/24/24

I'll give you 2 stars because Wawa usually has good pizza. Except this visit/location. This could be false advertisement since there is no slice since they didn't even cut it. I'll do it myself though.

Disclaimer: I never write bad reviews.

I go to Wawa all the time, as it's one of the two 24/7 convenience stores in lower Delaware. That includes this Wawa, which is usually good.

On this occasion I go there for some food at around 12:10 AM (11/5/24). While looking at the menu I notice that they have "Beef Steak" as a meat option for their custom Burritos, but not as a pre-made Burrito option like they usually do. This, coupled with the fact that they usually tend to stop serving beef steak after a certain time of night prompted me to ask the two workers behind the food kiosk if they had Beef Steak at the moment. The man and woman stare at me like I just spoke an alien language to them.

Then the woman asks me, "What's beef steak." I point at the kiosk screen and say, "It's one of your protein options." She says, "I don't even know what that is so we probably don't have it," and the man is also not sure. Then she comes around the counter and I show her that it's on the digital menu as a Burrito option, where she points to the screen and says, "That looks like a burrito," as if she didnt know that was a food item Wawa sold. She then stares at the screen for a minute in complete awkward silence.

At this point I have to assume they are both new hires, as there's no possible way you can have worked here for more than a few days, and not know what hot food items you need to make as a part of the job. I tell them that I'll just choose something else and then leave the store.

The whole experience had me feeling stupid for even asking, despite my hunch that they didn't have the beef being right. I don't know if those two just need better training, or it's there first day, or if they were on something (from their slow mannerisms). But I'm willing to try again another day, and change my review if I see them performing better. Really disappointing experience after a workout where you...
