Bagel Express — Restaurant in Milltown

I purchased 4 sandwiches about 15 minuets ago, spent $30 and totally regret it. Only one sandwich my husbands was kind of okay, my sandwich with extra pork roll was literally 3 pieces of pork roll (not sure what I would have gotten if I didn’t ask for extra) and the roll is extremely dry and tastes stale. My daughters egg sandwich looks disgusting the egg is burnt and the roll is also dry. And finally my mothers locks bagel barley had any locks on it. I would have gone back to complain and get my money back but by the time I stated to eat everyone had about half already and I wasn’t going back with a bunch of half eaten sandwiches. The funniest thing about this whole experience is that I went in there with a paper that I wrote on at home that the girl took from me that said extra pork roll and I even labeled which ones had salt pepper ketchup and again I couldn’t even get ketchup on my sandwich. Do yourself a favor don’t come here and feel like you just threw your money in the trash like I did. I wish I just made breakfast...

I'm no expert but I do absolutely love a good bagel. Having lived in NY, Brooklyn, and eating bagels every week for most of my life, I've come to appreciate what makes a really really good bagel. Chewy exterior, soft pillowy interior, good flavorful add-ins and a nice size to them. I've tried every bagel place in a fifteen mile radius and Bagel Express has the best bagels, hands down. They are identical to the bagels I was addicted to in Brooklyn, and they bake them fresh every day and throughout the morning. I love when I just happen to get there when they're throwing the hot bagels into the bin. Delicious and so satisfying!

Not only that but the owner and his family are good, kind people who work hard and are always pleasant to see in the morning...

Let me start off with the good: I have nothing bad to say about the owner or the staff. They are all extremely nice. One of the main reasons I even chose to write this review is because this morning I had probably the worst coffee I've ever tasted in my entire life. They didn't have flavored creamer so I tried pouring in a quarter cup of vanilla coffee (maybe the regular coffee alone is a little bit better?), and I couldn't make it past 2 sips. Also, the portions are pretty small. I ordered a pork roll egg and cheese and I got a roll with 2 pieces of pork roll and 1 egg, cmon... I can't speak for the bagels, so if that's all you're looking for then don't take my word for it. They looked pretty big and...
