Beware, dear readers, for what was once a crown jewel of pizza perfection has been tragically cast into the depths of mediocrity by the hands of new ownership. A culinary treasure that once graced our neighborhood has been shamefully reduced to a tasteless travesty that would insult even the palate of a child.
Imagine sinking your teeth into a pizza slice devoid of any semblance of flavor, as if a novice had been entrusted with the art of crafting this beloved dish. But fear not, for salvation lies less than a mile away in the embrace of Maria’s in Milltown. There, your taste buds shall rejoice in the symphony of genuine flavors, each bite a testament to the craftsmanship of true pizza artisans.
Alas, the decline of this establishment is not limited to its flavors alone. Quality has been sacrificed, and service has spiraled into oblivion. The aura of disappointment hangs heavy in the air, much like the stench of failure that now clings to this place. It appears that the new proprietors envisioned an effortless ascent to success, riding on the coattails of their predecessors. Little did they grasp that true greatness requires dedication and hard work. It’s as if they studied the art of failure and executed it masterfully, evident in the barren parking spots that once thrived with eager customers.
Allow me, a local, to spare you the agony. Seek refuge at Maria’s, where satisfaction is not merely a promise, but a guarantee. Your happiness and wallet will thank you for steering clear of this establishment that now stands as a monument to disappointment. Let my words be your compass, guiding you away from this regretful pitfall. Your money deserves better; treat yourself to the joy that only Maria’s...
Read moreDusals recently hosted a private luncheon for our family after the passing of our beloved mother, and we cannot express enough gratitude for their exceptional service and heartfelt kindness during such a difficult time.
Our mother was a big fan of their food, with their Chicken Francese or Chicken Parm being her weekly request, always reliably delivered to her apartment while she lived in north Brunswick. It brought us comfort to hold her luncheon at a place she liked so much.
From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond in every way imaginable. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring each member of our family felt special and appreciated. We are grateful for their compassion and attentiveness.
The food, as always, was absolutely delicious. We started with a fresh Caprese salad and perfectly crispy fried calamari. Our entrees were not only authentic but also generously portioned. For dessert, we enjoyed classic cannolis, and to our delight, they even brought out warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
As we were preparing to leave, the kind owner gave us a large bag with ice-cold bottled waters, Gatorade, and iced tea for our ride home. It was a sweltering hot day, and this thoughtful gesture was incredibly generous and deeply appreciated.
Dusals provided a truly comforting and memorable experience. Their family’s commitment to excellent food and outstanding customer service, coupled with their genuine empathy, was so appreciated. We highly recommend them for any occasion, and also for takeout - order the chicken franchisee or the...
Read moreFirst and foremost Dusals has been going down hill for a couple YEARS now. We ordered cheesesteaks , both with only peppers and onions. While eating my cheesesteak I knew something tasted off. Checked and there are mushrooms on the cheesesteak. Great, I don’t like mushrooms and thank god I’m not allergic.
We call store and girl puts us on with “Alan” who is snarky over the phone from the get go, never once apologized.
He said he can remake the sandwich or give us a gift card. Why would we want a gift card to a place that never can get their food right?!? We didn’t want sandwich remade, we just want credit for the amount of cheesesteak. He’s like you paid card there’s no way we can do that. I was like what are you taking about , you can’t credit the card for amount of cheesesteak ( not big $$ we are talking like $8 for a half cheesesteak!) . He proceeds to say gift card or remake of sandwich. I’m like if you can’t credit us on card then give us the cash, no one wants a gift card to your place . He’s like we don’t do that here , that’s against our policy , I would know I work here. (Snark)
We asked to speak with the owner above him who has always been friendly . We said have him call us. He’s like “yea ok” and Hangs up. SMH.
Word of advice Dusals there are so many places to get pizza in this town , you guys are nothing special and your staff is terrible. I suggest you clean house fast before you serve someone something that they have an allergy too and then you have a lawsuit...
