WHY because we were BLACK. We were a party of 15 adults and 1 child. I have had better flavorful tasting Italian cuisine. That was the conclusion from the entire party. The atmosphere was regular nothing impressive. A few guests in our party wanted Steak and requested it be made to their desire (ie: medium well and well done). Mr Mohammed proceeded to correct them and tell them not to get it the way they desired it then he proceeded to explain what a medium well steak to them without any prompted question from them. They went on to explain that they have ordered steak before and like it prepared the way requested. Mr Mohammed seemed to be upset because of their choice. When I ordered my food I inquired what vegetables came with the order. I did not want any mixed vegetables so I ordered a side of spinach. Mohammed explained that it will be a extra charge several times again as if I did not understand him the first time. NO IT WAS NOT A LANGUAGE BARRIER. When I got my order the side of vegetables were Brussel Sprouts which I like and did not have to order the side of spinach. The waiter Mohammed was slightly rude and made an offending comment saying that we were his first table of the day and we were difficult. He said other slick comments as if we were not suppose to catch the insult. There was another party across from our private room in the larger dining area that had guests of approximately 20 or more with several children who were loud that we had to speak louder 2 hear one another in our party. We had to look for Mr Mohammed a few times to get service and he returned one time to reconfirm our order. We did bring a cheesecake platter because it was given to our family as a gift for the passing of our family member after we had layed him to rest only a few hours prior. The majority were already full from the food and only 2 people wanted a slice of cheesecake. Mr. Mohammed explained that it will be a charge to eat the dessert in the restaurant and we understood. After asking can we have a few small to go containers he continued to reiterate his prior statement several times as if we didn't hear or understand him when he said it the 1st time. NO ONE decided to eat the cheesecake in the restaurant. Our bill was over $700. Mr. Mohammed received his 18% gratuity and replied now it's gonna be a good day as if he expected a much smaller gratuity because we were BLACK. In my opinion if it was my choice alone we would have left that establishment and since we stayed I believe his gratuity should have not been gracious. Please note I ordered and tasted the food. I also packed a little over half of my meal to go. I did not have the appetite after his display of attitude nor did I like the salad dressing...
Read moreExcellent Food And Service, there are 3 restaurants tied together with this place but Fresco has the more extensive seafood menu, which is why I chose this one. Made a reservation which I highly recommend because they open for dinner at 4:30 and by 6(on a Thursday evening) the place was packed! Our waitress was great and pleasant to deal with. My only suggestion to the owner is to put up a "SPECIALS" menu, or add a paper with then on it in the menu because they had about 4-5 app specials, 2-3 soups, 3 salads, and roughly 5-6 entree's so by the time she was done describing, in detail (I mean everything that's in the one dish) you were lost after the salad and had to have them go back, it was WAY too much to remember and I've got a great memory!!! I wouldn't want to miss a dish because it got lost 5 min ago while reading off the tons of other stuff! It's BYOB, which makes it even more appealing and everything was cooked to perfection. Their dessert's were endless, and delicious,so many cakes, pies and pasteries to choose from, thankfully they brought them out and showed you because I don't think I could go thru the menu memorization again! Make sure to add this place to your "MUST TRY" list and order the escargot, I could've ate a few orders of them! Shown below is the stuffed shrimp, broiled seafood combo and escargot, tastes as good...
Read moreI would leave 0 stars if I could. I had a great time with my partner the food was good and our server Erika was very nice and welcoming. But it was when I went to go get my partners purse that she accidentally left where things went bad. I and 19 years old trying to take my partner to a nice dinner for Valentine do not have the most money as I am still in college trying to get a career. So even coming here was a big step. My bill came out to 144.70 which is a lot for a 19 years old working retail. I tipped the waiter 8.00 as the total came to 152$. Again a lot of money. But the host was very rude and handed me the receipt back and said “that’s it”. And I was confused at first and then she explained how tips is how the make a leaving. And I understand that by I again am not made of money. So I was very embarrassed by this and called to speak to the manager and come to find out the person who spoke to me in such a rude way was the owner. I have never been so embarrassed before in my life to where she made me raise the tip. I AM NOT GOING TO BE RETURNING HERE. Very sad as I thought it was nice place that i can afford every once in awhile. But I should not have been treated like that. And to the owner: I am sorry I do not drive Mercedes or a lexsus to be able to drop 200$ to...
