Easily one of my favorites! Food is excellent and customer service is equally great. The ambiance fits business meetings, especially during lunch hour. I’ve held quite a few here. WiFi is available. It’s also great for date night.
The food is consistent. If there is something you want but don’t see on the menu, ask the owner. I always do and he’s never let me down. For the vegetarian’s out there, the tofu sam rod is like orange chicken except with tofu. Can be made as sweet or spicy as you would like. It’s not on the menu, but I get it often there. You’re welcome! Yep, took care of that because I know you’ll thank me later.
For the pescatarian’s try the Chilean sea bass which is pictured below. I love, love, love Chilean sea bass. This is my third favorite place to get it. That may not seem like a great ranking, but trust me it is. The other two places just happen to serve Chilean sea bass worth fighting for.
The soups are amazing. Always get the soup. You can have salad anytime. The vegetables soup are so so good: the texture, the taste. I would have taken pictures, but I can never resist eating it long enough to do so. Once you become a regular, and you will, if you don’t see the soup you like, ask the owner. Again, it hasn’t failed me yet. They are super accommodating.
Dessert: I’ve only tried the sticky rice, which is delish! I literally get it every time.
Tea: I almost always get the hibiscus tea, but there are lots of options. This one is my fave. So unless it’s a late dinner and I want to sleep soon, I get hibiscus. If it is, I go for chamomile.
I’ll try to take more pics the next time I return, but it’s pretty hard...
Read moreI have lived in Thailand for 8 years. This is no where close to authentic Thai food.
Papaya salad is all lettuce - I have never asked for a dish to be taken back but this really upset me. We asked the manager why, and she said “this is the way we prepare it”. In reality, it is a way to make it seem like more food than it is since lettuce is very cheap. Tasted horrible as well. Had green peas on top for no reason. We certainly tried to finish it since it was $14 for a plate of mostly lettuce.
Same price of vegetarian and non veg options. Specifically referring to the papaya salad again, exact same salad with shrimp and without shrimp are both $14. Doesn’t make any sense
Most of the staff cannot explain the menu to you or answer any questions. They don’t come and ask how the food is. They stand afar and watch you eat. Very strange and uncomfortable
Dishes with meat have very little protein or vegetables, mostly rice or noodles (again the cheap stuff). Even the vegetarian dishes have very little tofu or vegetables.
Overall this restaurant seems to be doing everything to cut costs to the detriment of food quality and service. Expect to pay $30 per person without alcohol. Stay away! There are much better...
Read moreWhile we had lived in the area for many years we had never been to the Rice Factory Thai Restaurant until this weekend; that proved to be our loss as it is an excellent Thai restaurant. The staff is welcoming, friendly, courteous and efficient; and the decor is modern and pleasant. Their menu also offers a patron four different levels of "spiciness", from 0-1-2-3; which allows for all diners to tailor their selection to their own taste. My wife and I ordered the Dim Sum appetizer; it was a delicate blend of seafood served with some intense soy sauce, and it was mild yet tasty. For the main dishes we ordered the Crab-meat Fried Rice and the Honey Duck. The crab-meat dish was also delicate and very tasty, though next time we will probably go up one level in spiciness. The duck was superb at the low spiciness level we ordered. Both dishes were ample and I would recommend both of them to anyone. We will be back! (The picture below is of the crab-meat dish as I was too late to snap a pic of the duck, as we devoured...
