Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Milltown

I too am saying that one star is too generous for this store. I placed an order on the Coldstone app for 2 gotta have it’s one going bananas and one apple pie. When I got home I didn’t eat the ice cream right away. At around 9:15 pm I started to eat my ice cream and realized that it didn’t taste like banana pudding ice cream. I called the store and was told that they ran out of that flavor two days ago and they haven’t made any yet. They then told me that they just took it upon themselves to substitute the pudding for regular banana, to which I responded that I don’t want that ice cream or I would have just order it in the first place and asked why no one called me to let me know as I would have gone somewhere else and get something I actually would eat. When I was told basically that there wasn’t anything they could do for me I asked for a manager, and was then put on the phone with another young girl. When I asked her why no one called me she put me on hold and spoke to a guy in the background stating that someone had made the mistake but when she got back on the phone she then told me that the promotion for the going bananas was over and that’s why they didn’t have the ice cream. I kept insisting that this was unacceptable and again was told there was nothing they could do when I asked for a refund or to have my product remade. I asked for the owner’s information and was again put on hold while she spoke to the guy again in the background. When she came back on the phone she said that she could give me his information or they could remake my order into something else but that I would have to come back that night. It was already 9:30pm and the store closed soon and honestly I didn’t want to drive the 15 mins to the store so they were ever so generous and said I could come the next day. I have a life, a house and a family to care for it isn’t always convenient for me to make these trips especially when there is a time limit. I contacted Coldstone and have been getting the run around, it has been 4 days and still no response when I was told 24 hours. I am going to be taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau and get this situation resolved. Do not go here, they have no customer service, are rude and...

Cold Stone Creamery is pretty premium for ice cream. The ice cream is infused with any toppings that you would normally put on top of your ice cream so every bite can have bit of what you've created yourself or if you got one of the preset creations. I have tried their Reeses creations in the past and highly recommend it.

One of the issues I had with my visit was the lack of care to making sure the order was complete. I had placed an order for The Mighty Pink Puff in a Gotta Have It size and the cashier immediately left to make my order but that wasn't the end of my order, usually places ask "Is there anything else?" or at the very least a small pause so I could say the next part of my order. When he went to ring me up, I had to tell the cashier that wasn't my only order so I put in the order for the Island Getaway, again, he left without confirming the size with me so I had to catch up with him before he started making the order to make sure it was the Love it size.

The Mighty Pink Puff came out as advertised, Strawberry lce Cream, Strawberries, Mini Marshmallows & Caramel. Every bite had a little of everything and isn't normally a combo you would find at other ice cream shops as the toppings are infused rather than put on top.

However, Island Getaway is supposed to be Chocolate Ice Cream, Strawberries, Banana & Whipped Topping. Everything was there except the whipped topping which is disappointing that the order was wrong. Was still a good creation but it probably would've been even better if it had the whipped topping that was advertised.

Another thing to note was there was a piece of pineapple in the island getaway, an ingredient that isn't supposed to come on it, to us it wasn't a big deal, however, this could be a big deal to someone with allergies to anything as there can be cross contamination.

This location also has outdoor seating so if it's too cold inside the Cold Stone you have an alternative option to enjoy...

I will preface this with the fact that I visit this particular Cold Stone pretty often. I have always been happy that it hasn't closed down yet. But tonight, i was extremely disappointed with the service. I live walking distance from another ice cream shop, but I enjoy hopping in my car to take a quick drive further out because the ice cream is amazing and I enjoy my various toppings nicely mixed into my ice cream. On this particular visit, I went in with my wife and her baby sister, who has never been to a cold stone before. So im suped. We go in and the atmosphere was already off. I thought it was because it was a little busier than usual, so i think nothing of it. Then, my wife orders for the 3 of us. I noticed the first girl grabbed the ice cream, put it in the bowl and tossed it on top of the counter and proceeded to walk off into the back room. She never asked about the toppings. She just disappeared. The second girl grabbed the other 2 orders but also didn't ask about toppings, just attempted to hand my wife another 2 bowls. My wife then gave them back and said we want toppings. The girl proceeded to toss the toppings on top and hand the bowls back. My wife then said, "can you mix it in please?" She grabs the one bowl and pretends to mix it in and hands it back with toppings falling all over the pay counter. My wife asked if I still wanted my toppings but my ice cream was already melting and I was agitated, so i said no. Her sister just got M&Ms thrown on top of her bowl and we paid and left. I wouldn't have been so agitated if the 3 girls behind the counter weren't snickering and staring at us as the one bowl was being "redone". By far the worst service I've ever had there. If management reads this, please look to see who was working the evening of July 5th. Some retraining may be necessary. There were at least 5 people behind the counter.
