I visited Harold's Haunt for one of their viewing parties and unfortunately found that it wasn't my "cup of tea." The place had very little in the way of ambiance and the drinks left something to be desired. Their drink menu changes monthly, which is a fun idea, but neither of the two I tried were enjoyable, so I wish they'd find drinks that work and offer them consistently. Service was somewhat slow - one of the bartenders was too busy watching the TV to serve anyone - but the bartender I spoke to was nice when I did get to order. Giving three stars because there were gender inclusive bathroom's and a clear sense of community (I could tell they get a lot of regulars), but for someone who has never been there before, it felt no more warm or welcoming than any other bar. If you're looking for a place to frequent that isn't pretentious, is queer friendly, has "sober days" and alcohol free drinks options, and has weekly events, then you may enjoy Harold's Haunt a lot! But it's not for me, and that's okay.

Read moreI came here for the first time last night and absolutely loved it! I’d heard about it a while ago and fell in love with the concept - this is absolutely the kind of space Pittsburgh (and the world) needs! The drinks and food were all delicious. I tried both of the specialty drinks they had and opted for an alcoholic version of one of their mocktails as well. Everything my friend and I got was great! We also got pizzas which were delicious. The vibe overall is just super welcoming and positive and they have so many cool theme nights and events to draw you back in. I’m excited to come back when it’s warmer to check out their patio! They also change up their menu regularly so there’s always something new to try. They’re undergoing a renovation this week and I can’t wait to see what it looks like when they reopen on...
Read moreI think it is an interesting place and I was going to explore that place. But that bartender ruined my night. He was MEAN to me. And at one point I had the suspect that was that racist? Or is he just mean to me or Because I am straight and he thinks I don't belong to there. I had to go out and get some air to calm myself down. Afterwards, my friends told me that bartender was just very rude to them as well. Ok so he was not being racist so he was just genuinely being mean to me. But still not a good reason to be rude to anyone not to mention they are your customers. So, this place could be a very nice but I wouldn't know. That bartender really ruin this place for me. Maybe he is the owner and does whatever he wants. Who knows, but at this point I wouldn't care about him or this...
