Mian Bao House — Restaurant in Milpitas

I went here for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and price! It's Buy 3 Get 1 Free, for the standard bakery items which comes out to $1.50 each ($2 before discount) for any of the bakery staples. Buying 10 costs $12, which comes out to $1.20 each. The ROI/CP here is fantastic, it's like recent inflation from the past few years never happened here.

Visually, the buns don't really pop like at some other bakeries in the area but I tried a few and while different to what I am used to, the taste is still pretty good. The style of the bakery is generally closer to HK styled baked goods for their items including the cocktail bun, pineapple bolo bun etc. I don't think anything artificial is being used, as they list the ingredients on all of their labels...at least everything looks fairly normal to me.

Can't comment on their cakes or refrigerated items, I'll have to find an opportunity to try...

Extremely satisfied. The store was very clean and organized. I was craving for egg tarts and saw online that a lot of people recommended Mian Bao and they did not disappoint. Their egg tarts are awesome! It was creamy with the right amount of sweetness. The crust was flaky and buttery...I need to go back and try their cakes and some of the frozen items as well. The lady at the counter was super nice, very welcoming and even gave a couple of little free baked item to my son, that was very sweet...

Always come here for fresh waffles. Tried few kinds of breads and every one is good. The staff is supper friendly, last time i bought a tart and something (total less than $10) the staff chat with my kid and ended up giving us a box of tart for free🤣 they currently have a buy $20 get a free cheese cake promo but we bought $19.99 and as the store is closing there is no more $1 treats so the staff gave us a super nice cheesecake for free! Definitely will support this local...
