For $35 this is one of the best all you can eat in the area! Tons of different meats, even on the base signature menu, and a lot of different appetizers with even more different types of dishes coming soon! This is a Japanese style barbecue where there's a hot grill in the middle and you order different types of raw meats from beef, chicken and pork all in a All you can eat style and you only have 1 hour 30 mins to order different foods. Ordering is done using a QR code and you can only order up to six items at a time. Although you can make multiple orders back to back with the exception of meat, meats have a 6-minute cool down. It doesn't really matter anyway because if you have a big group you can go through these meats pretty quickly, especially some of the ones that are easy to cook that are almost shabu shabu like such as the beef, chuck roll or some of the beef short rib. Keep in mind an extra surcharge of 20% may be added on top of the bill if there's too much excessive food, but there can be a little bit such as fries and maybe leftover rice. Cooking the food on the grill wasn't too bad. However we did experience some moments of where the flame either started to grow weak or completely die off, so don't completely overload the grill if you don't need to. Otherwise, you may need to contact someone to restart the flame. Also make sure to keep the grill in check as best you can. Sometimes the flame will grow even more powerful in the presence of some marinated meats. Speaking of service, the waiters were pretty spotty in terms of checking up on the table and grill. Sometimes it would take at least 5 minutes to get someone to restart the flame, but another instance would take 20-30 seconds every single time for someone to come in and clean up the table and get more water. Overall, it's very nice to see a Japanese style barbecue in this area, especially ones that don't appear too often in Milpitas. It's just a shame that this had to replace the MLBB Hot pot that was here before and TK noodle before that. The decorations aren't as expressive as they once were, but do have a Japanese style the best they can. Overall, I don't mind to come back here sometime maybe with some...
Read moreUpdated review* I had a great experience first time but not this time.
First, the menu has two versions, English and Chinese, the Chinese menu is literally Japanese menu. Yes, Chinese and Japanese sharing some same characters but as a Chinese I don’t understand what is 海老, I have to switch to English version to understand that it means shrimp. Come on, add a real Chinese version or just call it Japanese menu.
Second, I understand it was a busy dinner time, but please check the food and table make sure those MATCHES! First round, I ordered a wasabi octopus, it didn’t came, that’s fine, it was busy, they might forgot it, I’ll just order it again. In the next a few rounds we ordered wagyu beef, it came one or two times? That’s ok, we will order it again. The second to last round, I ordered three Wagyu beef, it never came, instead, they gave us some other regular angus beef I guess, and some chicken??? There was no chicken on our bill. Last round we ordered one order of takoyaki, and they gave us two orders of that. We informed the missing beef to the server, the server said they can go get those Wagyu beef now, but we skipped it because we already full. We got total 3 plates of Wagyu beef? And they still charge me the premium price. 🤷🏻♀️
Also, last time the server explained the different kind of beef to us and we also got 4 of 5 different side dishes, but not this time, maybe busy, understandable but still confused. Lastly, taste not bad, but please please, CHECK THE ORDER CLOSELY, make sure those MATCHED with the table.
(Lots of options, lots of appetizers. Fried calamari was really good, so does the wasabi octopus. Beef tastes very fresh, pork cheek was good too. Really good...
Read moreMy brothers and I came to celebrate one of their birthday and we were excited to try the new Japanese AYCE bbq in the area.
Advertised with AYCE Wagyu which strengthens the allure, we came in for dinner and ordered their platinum package at $55 per person.
The food is good, fast, and efficient. The waiter and waitress were friendly and we got some alcohol along the way with our meat. Between three hungry guys, we talked and chowed down with divided responsibilities as we grilled, poured, and ordered our meat continuously.
Out of all of the meat we liked the wagyu short rib the best with beef tongue coming shortly second.
I do wonder though whether the meat were real wagyu meat. I know they advertise themselves as Australian or American wagyu meat but we just didn't observe as much marbling as you would expect on their wagyu styled beef.
Nonetheless we still enjoyed our food. What soured the experience for us was that their expeditious booting of us out immediately at closing. Couldn't they just give us a little bit more time? Jeez, I mean it's a Japanese bbq place that serves alcohol. Did they seriously think three dudes eating here would continue to slum here a lot longer when all of us got work the following day? One of the guys that worked here told me that they weren't leaving right away anyway, what's the problem?
Here's a take for the owner and the head server, don't be a party pooper. No one...
