So I have eaten at this place several years ago but it was under a different name and the service was so bad I never went back. I am not sure if this is under the same ownership but it was not any better now that it is called Campania. First off this is not a complaint about our server, she was great. My complaint is about a restaurant in today’s world of customer service that this place falls well short. To start with my wife ordered a cup of coffee and wanted Sweet-n-low. The server said they no longer have any kind of artificial sweetener. Ok, I can live with that. Then I ordered a panini sandwich and wanted to substitute a cup of soup a my side. Nope can’t do that. I ordered the soup anyway. I got wedding soup. I asked for crackers. Nope don’t have those. Started wondering how they can call this an Italian restaurant. By the way the soup was terrible; nothing more than chicken broth with a few tiny meatballs. Maybe I should share with them a recipe for real Italian wedding soup. Then to top it all off the bill came and they charge a premium for using a card vs. cash. I took that charge out of the tip by the way. Sorry to the server but I’m not paying for the cost of doing business. All I can say is Nope, I won’t be going back there again. There are too many restaurants in this town that know how to service their customers for me to oblige this place...
Read moreWell, I hate to write this as there aren't many decent pizza places around, and we do like their pizza, but here we go. As, I was saying the pizza is pretty good. I appreciate the wood-fired oven and they do a decent job. However, this afternoon, on our way home, we decided we would grab some pizza. We ordered the Tartufo, and since my wife is allergic to preservatives (long story), we asked if we could have prosciutto instead of pancetta. We weren't just adding an extra topping. I was told when called, that would be fine. When my wife went to pay, she noticed the pizza was $27 instead of $19, and asked why. It was explained that they can only only add ingredients, for an extra cost, or leave an ingredient off. Since we "added an ingredient" there was an extra charge. Well, I wasn't told this on the phone. It's not even a matter of $7, which isn't a big deal, it's a matter of us being given the information, so we could make the decision. The hostess was less than accommodating, and my wife should have asked for a manger (notwithstanding any "Karen" comments). She did give the hostess the opportunity to make it right, but that did not happen. I do believe that customer service is taught from ownership/management, so maybe it shouldn't really be on the hostess. It's a shame, since, as I said, the pizza is...
Read moreCampania is one of my go-to spots for great Italian food, especially their wood-fired pizza. The pizzas come out fast, with that perfect crispiness and char from the oven—especially if you ask for it extra crispy, like I do. The flavors are always spot on, making it some of the best pizza around.
Beyond the pizza, the appetizers and pasta dishes are just as impressive. Everything is fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. And when it comes to dessert, Campania truly shines. My favorite is the chocolate hazelnut cake—rich, indulgent, and absolutely worth saving room for.
One thing to note: the dining room can get a little loud, especially during peak hours. If you have someone in your group who prefers a quieter setting, I’d recommend sitting on the patio, where you can still enjoy the great food with a more relaxed vibe.
Overall, Campania delivers on quality, flavor, and a great Italian dining experience....
