This review is for Spiced Right BBQ, not Six Bridges Brewery. Six Bridges has some of the best beer around and I give it 5 stars. The atmosphere is awesome with the large patio.
Unfortunately, they are paired with a substandard restaurant named Spiced Right. We have been going for about 2 years after friends invited us to meet them there. My wife has consistently ordered the House Salad with meat. It's always been fine, but a little overpriced for what you get. That's fine as we understand overhead and the need to make a profit in an expensive area like Milton. We gladly paid their price to enjoy the atmosphere and awesome beer.
Unfortunately everything changed about 2 weeks ago. My wife ordered her usual House Salad with meat. It came out with half the meat as usual, lettuce, diced tomatoes and a small sprinkling of cheese. No bacon or egg as the menu indicates. The chicken was over cooked and dry. My wife is too nice and didn't say anything about it until we were on the way home. We decided that we would not return again even for the great Six Bridges beer.
Today, our friends asked to meet us again at the same location. We decided to give it another try. The wife ordered the same salad which looked better, but no egg. I ordered the nachos plate. The salad came out in a reasonable time, but no nachos. The server said it would be right out. 15 minutes later we were finally able to signal the server that we were still waiting which was acknowledged. 15 minutes later the nachos finally.came out with another server. He was very apologetic and said he had no control over the kitchen.
The problem with this site is that the front is run by kids. There appears to be no management of any sort on site. Avoid getting food here at all costs. Stop by for the beer though as it...
Read moreThe side were good. The bathrooms were clean. The "BBQ" was terrible and overpriced to beat. Like other reviewers, seems to be way off the original Roswell location, best I can guess is they smoke it in roswell then drive it up the next day and microwave it to serve. Got a 2 meat plate with fries and slaw. Fries and slaw were good, but brisket was "wierd" where it clearly had been cooked under heat at one point with charred ends, but was dry at the charred ends and tough, greasy and chewy throughout the rest. Turkey was more edible but just a bit dry. Then the kicker in small print they charge $2 for turkey and brisket each and $4 extra for ribs on top of the already high priced plate of $23. I realized looking round at what others ordered that basically stick to sides, preped and fried items, avoid the bbq. Should really just serve wings and chicken fingers and sides if they are going to disrespect the other meats. Similar plate at City BBQ which is mid tier but actual BBQ is only 17.99 with the $3 brisket up-charge. Won't be back for the que and really surprised the brewery allows itself to be...
Read moreWalked in looking forward to enjoying lunch and started by ordering beers. This was the best part of the experience. Then preceded to order food and was very excited to get some BBQ for lunch. Ordered the combo plate with two meats and two sides to split with my fiancé.
When the plate was delivered I was let down immediately. I wish I would have taken a picture of how small the portions were for $30 price tag. I mean I payed extra for the side of Mac and cheese that was definitely not made in house. It was considered a specialty side and was not anything more than Kraft. The brisket was dry and flavorless. I am honestly not sure if I could call it true BBQ brisket honestly. The pulled pork was also lacking any flavor. The house BBQ sauce was the only thing saving the meal.
Overall decent beer but...
