Starbucks — Restaurant in Milton

I hate to leave a negative review because I go to Starbucks often and I like having one in the neighborhood. However, today I ordered three items in the morning before dropping my son off to school and going to work. I ordered ahead of time using the Starbucks app. Unfortunately, the sandwich was incorrect (it was not supposed to have cheese). The biggest problem was that the coffee lid was so loose that it came off in my car and hot coffee spilled everywhere. I couldn’t even drink the remaining coffee because the lid would have come off and spilled again. I don’t understand why someone would put a lid on a coffee cup that is so loose. This could have caused major damage to the electrical components of my car but I was able to quickly wipe up the coffee with napkins. Since I had to go to work and get my child to school,I did not have time to go back into the store. I don’t think I will order hot coffee using my app anymore because I can not risk the lid not being secure and coffee spilling all over the...

I hate to complain because I’m not a complainer, but this not the first, second, third or fourth time that I’ve received a drink that looks like it was prepared in a battle zone — today was the final straw. A pool of coffee sitting on top of the sip lid, Carmel completely running down all four sides of the cup, the cup itself was sitting in a pool of coffee/other drink mixes on the counter. It took several wads of napkins to clean up the mess and I still didn’t get it all because it’s now all over me, the interior of my car and my desk at work. This was the worse experience of my life as I was shamelessly reminded at this Starbucks today what it means to be BLACK in America.

Today I simply went in to request a refund for packaged and sealed coffee that was purchased at this location by mistake less then 24hrs prior. I was told by the MANAGER that the OWNER would not speak with me, they are not giving me a refund and they were going to call the Sheriff if I did not leave.

As a Black person in this community this was an immediate unprompted threat on my life. Words cannot express my anger, disappointment and hurt.

I have contacted corporate in reference to this incident and look forward to a response.
