This is my fourth experience with Cafe Corazon Bay View location. My family and I are vegan and this restaurant offers amazing vegan options, my personal favorite being the vegan burrito.

I ordered pick up for the first time today and was far from pleased. When I got there to pick up my order it was the same as when I called, their staff didn't know how to do pick up orders. Upon arriving home I noticed that my daughter's soy chorizo tacos and tofu taco were covered in cheese. I called back to get an explanation and was tranfered to a man. You could tell he was frustrated with my call and began interagating me whether I specified vegan or not. Considering I ordered two vegan burritos I assumed that I specified but I might not have. This was a mistake on my end especially being vegan I should know to ask about every ingredient, I guess I got carried away in the amount of vegan options they offer and assumed. Anyways he commented on the fact that when asked if I had a food allergy I said no, because I am not allergic to any foods. This was apparently the way they specify if something should be prepared vegan or not. From my experience at other restaurants the offer vegan options they are very good at asking the right questions. I think you guys need to come up with a better way of doing this.

This would have been so much better if the attitude of the man I spoke with with much better. When I am a customer you are not suppose to shame me for not understanding how things work fully at you're restaurant.

None the less if you are going to try this place out it is much better to go in person, nobody seems to really have too much experience in taking...

Had been to this location several times but never really sat down and ate, always ended up at the bar and liked the atmosphere. However, recently decided to eat there for dinner and was greatly disappointed. Started out with a house margarita and guacamole/queso apps before ordering chicken fajitas (company ordered steak fajitas). House margarita was good but was also made in bulk right in front of you which (to me) isn't professional (fill all those giant tubs in the back). Guacamole was zero flavor: no onion, cilantro, tomato, lemon - nothing. Tasted just bland with no care about whether it's good. Queso was OK, but obviously from some sort of can. Complimentary salsa was sweet and trademark from some sort of large can - probably a Sam's Club special with an added something to distract that it's not made in-house. When fajitas arrived my taste buds still wandered for flavor; chicken and steak were devoid of any flavor minus some pepper which didn't suit the Mexican course - try soy sauce or Sazón at a minimum! I cannot believe that people in this city put up with these restaurants. Seriously, the taco truck down the block makes far better food than this place, and my hostility towards this establishment comes from the fact that they don't even try - food was just bland and without care. But... People continue to go there and I'm baffled. It think it says something about our city as a whole that there are actually quite a few restaurants that serve food that has no love in it but still remain packed. Save your money people, go to a taco truck, you're taste buds and pocket book will...

My boyfriend and I traveled to Milwaukee for a mini weekend vacation. On our way back home to Chicago we decided to make a stop at Café Corazón. The location sounded cool and the reviews were good. Upon arriving the art was nice and the staff were friendly. I would not ever recommend this location if you're looking for AUTHENTIC Mexican food. This place does NOT serve authentic mexican food. We spent a long time looking at the menu before deciding. We finally placed our orders, and were excited for the food as we were really hungry. I ordered the breakfast enchiladas and he ordered the breakfast tacos. Upon taking my first bite I was extremely disappointed. The rice and beans were flavorless and had no seasonings. The chips with the salsa were dry. The carnitas enchiladas also tasted very plain. My boyfriend isn't picky and he did not enjoy nor finish his meal either. His re-fried beans were dry AF. The food was so bad that we began laughing so hard. We were shocked that all this food could suck and taste so bad. We shared a really cute moment at your restaurant for that I give you a 1 star! I recommend a slice of mac and cheese pizza from Brick 3 Pizza or the AMAZING cheese curds at Old...

You feel the love the moment you walk through the door - you see smiling faces and you feel welcomed. It's bright, cheery and very colorful. You can sit inside or outside, both have interesting art to admire. The food is actually phenomenal, and with so many vegan choices I feel like I need to come back SOON. We had the guacamole added to their chips and salsa. They had a Salsa Verde to use to spice things up; starter was very tasty. I had the soy chorizo burrito with Verde and red sauce. It was filled with chorizo, avocado, rice, veggies and beans. Really nice! My partner had the taco plate with and avocado salad. He loved the dressing that came along side the salad - he couldn't stop raving about it. All the food was visually appealing, which I really appreciate. I also had a Thai Basil lemonade that was refreshing and left me wanting another. Love the color of the drink and the cute garnish - I like to feel fancy even though I don't drink alcohol, they achieved that. Honestly, the service, food/drink and atmosphere was appreciated. I will be back - no doubt about it!

The food isn't authentic Mexican but it was still good. I ordered a corazón burger which was great, the meat tasted fresh and the jalapeños were nice and spicy. We also got 3 tacos a la carte one asada which was okay, the carnitas were juicy (my fave out of the three) and my boyfriend loved the cochinita pibil. The tacos come with cilantro, cebolla, cheese, and tomato. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the imagery of Catholic saints being used as decoration. La Virgen de Guadalupe is a sacred image for many Catholic Mexicans and I felt it was inappropriate to use it as decoration. Anyways the food was great and the service was amazing I only took off one star for the saints.

Our group of 5 stopped here during brunch hours at a weekend but everything on their menu is available, not just breakfast items. There are multiple dining areas, brightly decorated, including the bar. Parking was relatively easy on the street at 11am. The food here was outstanding for the group: burritos are well stuffed with meats (Best Burrito and Breakfast Burrito are two on the menu that we had) and the red and green sauces are deeply flavored and smooth. The green salsa verde with chips is moderately spicy (6/10). Rustic seating, cheery service. Group members said the bloody mary drinks were very good especially the pickles. Recommended
