The Stone might be the friendliest bar in Milwaukee. Before I settled my butt into a seat at the bar, someone welcomed me with a hello and a welcome. Soon, more of the customers ambled up to me to talk about a myriad of subjects. This was an eclectic crowd, and obviously, all were welcome. These days, I'm invariably the oldest cat in the joint, but no one at the Stone seemed to notice. Neither did my dark glasses or fedora cause people at The Stone to keep their distance. That was very cool because how I dress is often construed as pretentious in the down-to-earth confines of Milwaukee. However, the regulars at The Stone let my personality and discourse speak rather than my appearance. That meant a lot to me. I left The Stone knowing I always had a welcoming tavern to go to. What a wonderful feeling. The Stone is a special place. BTW, the drinks were fine, and the prices were good.

Service and beer selection is top notch at The Stone. They regularly feature 100+ options, many of which are unique and specilry beers. Drinks are priced fairly and there are always a group of regulars to chat with. The owners of this hidden gem in Bay View are always doing fundraisers for local events and charities and are big supporters of the Milwaukee War Memorial. Stop in for a few drinks and some free popcorn.

Always laid back & fun! They have board games, bar games and all you can eat peanuts! Drinks are poured strong, bartenders friendly and they have specisl events like bands & DJs. Stellar neighborhood bar!

No matter what kind of day I am having, I know if I get myself to The Stone, it's going to instantly improve. Really fun and attentive staff, friendly, welcoming neighborhood patrons and extremely reasonable prices for great drinks. As a single woman, I have never felt unsafe or bothered when I've gone in alone. It's well-lit and clean and you find that the people around you engage you in conversation so you are never truly alone and it's easy to feel as if someone is watching your back. Nobody who comes in there for the first time leaves as a stranger. Truly a...

I went here to throw darts. Good darts setup with 3 professional boards. Nice juke box that plays your song right away (so be sure to duck away quick if you decide to play Vanilla Ice). Also the songs are 50 cents (not the rapper, the currency denomination) so that’s another plus. Reasonably priced beer. Was waiting for a group of single beautiful blondes to walk through the door, alas that never happened. I lost at...
