唐人街 Chinatown Restaurant — Restaurant in Milwaukee

My friend ordered Sesame Chicken and I chose Sweet & Sour Chicken. In addition, we ordered some Chicken Egg Rolls. There were some things that were quite dissatisfying.

The sweet and sour sauce comes first... Basically, it was a veggie soup. It's quite watered down and, to be honest, just horrible. It didn't taste like any other sweet and sour sauce I'd ever tried in a Chinese restaurant before. Then there's the issue with the chicken, which wasn't sliced into small enough pieces to dip in the sauce... They were the size of whole chicken breasts that had to be cut into pieces. I forced a lot of it down because I paid a pretty penny for it, but I couldn't finish it. It was so terrible.

My friend said the Sesame Chicken also wasn't great. And let's just say he didn't phrase it in those exact words.

As for the egg rolls... They tasted off, almost like old medicine I used to have as a kid. Wouldn't recommend those.

However, some positives...

I will say the fortune cookies were good. Those are hard to mess up.

They have the best egg rolls I have ever had. The service is wonderful and I over all enjoy the food. The only item I don't really care for is the chicken can't really explain why I think in comparing them to some I have had from another place and I enjoy theirs more, but the rice is so good and I really can't say enough about their egg rolls me and my children love them so much. My youngest are two yrs old twins and when I say they won't even let them cool off before they eat them, because they are so good. I have to order like ten whenever we eat here , because we all love them so much. Please if you get the chance to eat here have the egg rolls doesn't matter what kind you order they are all wonderful so very flavorful. Chinese food is my absolute favorite and I love to try all different Chinese restaurants especially in many different states. Out of the over 50+ Chinese restaurants I’ve tried, this has to be the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. The lo mein was a very dark brown color and had a strange gasoline-like smell and was inedible. The bbq pork tasted weird and had a chewy texture. The egg rolls were very dark (not burnt) and tasted strange as well. The seafood had a foul smell. Im assuming the oil hasn’t been changed. Everything we tasted, we couldn’t continue eating because it either tasted weird or just plain disgusting. I’m so disappointed since the previous reviews were good.
