When we walked into the place it an ok vibe. We were greeted and we had to find our own seat which was fine . The seating is tight and not kid friendly . The music was way too loud so you would have to talk over it . We went in there wanting to support black businesses in Milwaukee however we waited almost an hour for our food and it was cold and warm ..I ordered a chicken breast panini and it was extremely overcooked… friends were cold. My daughter ordered the shrimp fries and they cut the shrimp up into pies and she said it was flavorless. My other daughter ordered the burger the onion rings were good but the burger did not melt in your mouth ….the blue cheese dressing was not of quality…. I really hoped for better results …. They also enter a gratuity on your tab so pay attention to double tipping as I also payed a tip of %18 percent plus money …. If it was worth it fine but I was NOT...

I was visiting for the weekend and was excited to eat here after seeing them on ig. Unfortunately it was not a good experience. The restaurant itself looks nice and the staff is kind, but a bit inattentive. Two parties ended up walking out because they were not greeted upon arrival and we’re just standing there unsure if they would be seated or even waited on.

We waited over an hour for our food. We were never told that there was going to be such a delay. The restaurant was not busy at all. When the food finally came it was cold and sub par. We ordered biscuits and gravy & chicken and waffles. The chicken was good, but the waffles were really chewy and not hot. I LOVE supporting black owned businesses but we most do better. If a business is short staffed at the very minimum inform the customer, before they order, that they will have to wait over an hour...

I'm glad that something finally opened in that spot. Good location. The renovation was done nicely. The staff was friendly. Food was ok. Not a very exciting menu but I was glad that they had a variety of veggie sides. Pricey for the portion sizes. Atmosphere was way too brightly lit. I'd suggest dimming it a bit for more ambiance since it's a nice looking spot. Was very loud for a dinner crowd. With that said I'd visit again to support neighborhood business. One last thing to note is that they charge a 15% gratuity off the top. on the cc receipt it asks for a tip on top of that. I would have tipped more but don't appreciate a tip being included w/o notice on the menu, unless I missed a sign somewhere. That's a serious pet peeve of mine. I can understand if there's a large party, many places do that but I was solo and I prefer to...
