I have no idea what kinda beer black-magic is going on over here, but Eagle Park is churning out hit after hit on a regular basis. Fantastic New England style IPAs that could get in the boxing ring with Treehouse or Other Half, delicious cornucopia of fruity flavors in their milkshake (lactose added) IPAs, stouts ranging from boozy chocolate, to coffee, to the mouthwatering Booze For Breakfast maple. As if that wasn’t enough, there is always a variety of beautifully colored Berliner Weisse, gose, or even a lavender and butterfly pea flower honey’d saison cause why the heck wouldn’t there be one of those on the menu? I would come here for the beer alone, but the food is so damn good too. Highly recommend the addictive grilled cheese (not sure what Brazilian cheese is but I want it in my mouth) and the duck pierogis make me feel like a fancy monsieur while I’m sipping on tasty drinks. If you find yourself with a basket of Karate Fries, checkout the dipping sauce selection and try them all. Chocolate jalapeño? Yeah, you wanna dip your fries in that. Owners and staff are all friendly and talkative, and like good music. You do need to order drinks at the bar, but you can order food or cans/crowlers at the less crowded window, and they share the same info if you’ve already started a tab. Come thirsty and hungry with your Untappd...
Read moreHands down my favorite brewery in Milwaukee. Eagle Park releases new beers basically every week. Just when you thought they couldn't possibly outdo themselves, they manage to accomplish that.
They have beers for everyone, too. They're not just an IPA shop; they have IPAs of course, but they also have a good amount of Lagers, Stouts, Milkshakes (the new craze), Brown ales, Sours, even Kombucha!
The staff is really friendly and the only reason they can't get you a beer in under a minute is because the place is always packed! I frankly don't mind and think it's a good thing. Please tip them well!
The actual space is very appropriate of a brewery. They have a small lounge area among a bar and a dozen tables varying in size. Outside is a pretty decently sized parking lot (free) with another dozen table and picnic benches some on a deck, others directly on the lot surface.
It's a great place to enjoy a beer and food. Did I mention the food? Everything we've tried has been amazing. They really should open a side restaurant. The wings, garlic burger, FRIES, and soups are all delicious. What are you waiting...
Read moreThis is my favorite Milwaukee brewpub (of the the ones I've been to...) Two years ago while attending Summerfest, I had an enlightening experience with a trippel IPA at this joint and it was life-changing. Up until then, I was not a fan of IPA but then I learned about Hazy IPAs, Milkshake IPAs and all of the wonderful citrusy hops that can create the flavors of pineapple and grapefruit. So on this visit to the brewery, I did not hesitate. And I was rewarded! Vegan Pineapple Upside Down (milkshake IPA) was exquisite! A bold juicy pineapple like I have never had in a beer before (and I have had Gold Cliff on tap in Hawaii.) The Demon Haze - hazy New England style - was an excellent runner-up. Not to mention Red-Eyed Huey which surprised me as normally I avoid coffee flavors in my beer. They did it perfectly. I challenge anyone not to find a beer they enjoy at this establishment. And bonus: they sell New Grist (courtesy of Lakefront Brewery) for the gluten-free crowd. Because no one should have to live...
