Emperor Of China is a staple to the Brady Street community, and they deliver stellar dishes of traditional Chinese flavors that capture the epic culinary talents of Chinese cuisine, and these essential flavors come from oil, sauces, and spices. EOC offers boils, which holds amazing and exotic flavors from oils, and they offer huge portions of traditional Chinese-American dishes. Be prepared to ask for a box to take home! This place is perfect for lunch, and it's commonly quiet, and the decor is very captivating. That is, huge Chinese vases, dark carpets, traditional Chinese dividers, and small, mahogany-colored tables are the immediate eye-catchers. And stucco-style walls are illuminated by low-light fixtures - it's a beautiful sight! Great service and the business serves the community very well! Not to mention, EOC is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city!

Was vey excited to eat here, left very disappointed. Some of the food was good -- dumplings, beef lomein, and green beans with pork. Sweet and sour chicken was deep fried chicken served over cut up raw green peppers and canned pineapple chunks. DO NOT ORDER THE CRISPY DUCK! See photo, dried out deep fried bones on a plate (who on earth would serve the spine??). No sauce, meat was inedible. Overall left unhappy after we thought we'd have an amazing meal. When the manager asked how it was and I said, "fair at best", she said nothing.

The Friendly Customer Service Is The First Thing That Greets You! As I Waited For My Drink I Ordered The Emperors Punch Which Was Quite Tasty. I Went Out On a Limb And Tried The Duck Egg Rolls. Although They Weren’t My Favorite They Were Fresh And Abundant. The Spicy and Regular Crab Rangoon Were Some Of My Favorites. By The Time My Entree of Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice Arrived I Was Nearly Full. Extremely Large Portions and Traditional Ambient Decor. Highly Recommended For Date Night

the receptionist that they have recently hired within the last 6 to 8 months I wanna say is a older Caucasian lady Heavier set and she’s very lazy Mind you guys I have been coming here for the last maybe five years and and they’ve always had a sign that says call in when you’ve arrived so fast forward to present day 2024 I arrived. I called in like I normally do and the receptionist which is the lady that I described above has me wait for about 15 minutes and then I call in again and she then tells me that I have to come in because they don’t bring the food out and I know that that’s a bald face lie cause mind you I’ve been coming here pre-dating her employment and also right before I called in the older Chinese guy who I absolutely adore was bringing out another order literally I’m watching this happen in real time as I’m on the phone with her and she saying they don’t bring the deliveries out as the guy is bringing out a delivery OK that wasn’t even the bad part. The bad part was as I’m getting out going in to get my order that she say they don’t bring out she’s talking shit about me to another customer and the other customer proceeds to say people are so entitled these days and don’t want to do things for themselves like get your lazy ass out the car “ LIKE I DIDNT ORDER CARRY OUT 😂😂 then she turned around and seen me and looked as if she seen a ghost hurried, put her head down and scurried out the door, but that just causes for concern because why are you the receptionist talking shit about a customer a paying customer Who never orders under 60 and always tips her attitude is always nasty and snarky but what if I was unruly and that caused further problems between me n the other customer cause she wanted to gossip ! it’s the audacity for me food is great environment n customer...

this was the most embarrassing restaurant experience I have ever had. Don't get me wrong. The food was absolutely amazing. Perfectly seasoned, service was awesome. But the portion sizes were absolutely ridiculous. I'm talking mounds of rice on one plate. We thought that they were individual size but these are sharing sizes and their serving sizes were ridiculous. The amount of food that we ordered was enough to feed eight people, but we were only a party of three. Humiliated and disgusting with the amount of food in front of my face and she just kept adding more. I felt disgusting. I'm telling you it is the most humiliating experience and when people started coming in more, I felt even more humiliated that is not a normal amount of food. We thought that it was going to be individual size, but it was party sized. It was insane. She just kept adding stuff and adding stuff, We were full just off of the appetizers. The dumplings were in the appetizer Section and it says that there were six of them, but these were full size dumplings for appetizers?? mind you two plates of dumplings.. we thought that the food were going to be reasonably portioned but they were insanely amount of portions. Please cut down on the portion sizes please I don't know if the owner thinks that Americans are able to eat that much but we don't eat that much, nobody eats that much. This is the most humiliating restaurant experience I've ever come across, and I personally will never be coming back. This food can last me for the next two weeks. I'm disgusted...

I never post reviews about anything, but when I read all the positive reviews about this eatery, I decided to go try it. The first red flag should have been when I opened the menu and I saw a large font warning that credit card payments under $20 were not acceptable. I ordered the chicken fried rice and the kung pao chicken. I usually judge Chinese restaurant food by how good their fried rice is. This was not tasty whatsoever. They use short grain rice that was mushy from being overcooked. I saw no veggies; only some fried egg and a ton of soy sauce. Some of the worst fried rice I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. And now to the kung pao chicken: I guarantee you they used store bought sauce for this dish and a bad one at that. I hated it that dish. I know for a fact that the sauce I buy to make kung pao chicken with is much, much better than whatever they used.

And finally the chicken itself: do you know how chicken has that disgusting smell when it is not well cleaned and marinated? That was what I had.

I am shocked at how this place was voted as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Milwaukee, far, far from it. This is one of the worst in Milwaukee.

I have a feeling the folks that voted this place near the top of the list, are the same people who voted Red Lobster as the best seafood place...
