Francisco's Pizza — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I remember eating at Crabby’s years ago with my family. It was run by a husband and wife team, and I think still is to this day as Francisco’s. I drive by here all the time, and have been wanting to try the pizza.

We finally did and I have to say the theee of us like it. I like the thin crust and taste, and our son loved the cheese.

Places like this, no matter how you look at it, are few and far between these days. I do not know the situation completely, but I am pretty sure the same woman who served us(and owns the place) from that husband and wife team finished making our pizza while I waited, and I have a lot of respect for putting a lifetime into a place.

My fiancé came here the other day to try the pizza for the first time. We were always curious about this place since we live in the neighborhood, because it always looks closed. He said the service was fine, however the person in a hospital bed by the bar threw him all the way off. I read in another review the same observation, so this must be an every day thing??? I'm sorry, but that is not something you'd want to see when picking up food in a restaurant, or even worse, dining in. Unfortunately, the pizza was terrible. The pizza was amazing. The service was warm and friendly. The atmosphere is odd. It's a gorgeous bar & restaurant that's beautifully decorated, but this place lacks a vibe.. It lacks a feel. There was music on but too low to recognize what song was playing. The TV was on but it couldn't be heard. It was way too quiet. I was able to hear every patrons' conversation. My wife and I were whispering because it was so quiet. It made us uncomfortable. A little bit of background music would go a long way and would make this place much more appealing..
