Gather Bakehouse | Bay View — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I'm so excited there's now a location closer to home! I've been following their journey for a while--totally obsessed with their creatively shaped macarons--and even took a macaron class at their Menomonee Falls spot.

I had to stop by for their Dubai Chocolate Takeover Day--I'm such a fan of those flavors and couldn't wait to see the creativity in action. Despite it being the morning of the Milwaukee Marathon (parking was a bit tricky!), I made it and even found a spot. Usually, parking in the area is a breeze, and it wasn't too busy when I went.

I treated myself to the Dubai Brownie, Dubai Cream Puff, Dubai Macaron, and the W.A.P. latte--can you tell I'm into the Dubai theme? Everything was incredible, and that brownie was so rich and decadent. Honestly, I wish I could've taken home the whole display case!

They also offer hot ham and rolls on Sundays, mouthwatering deli sandwiches, locally made goodies (like tots, lumpia, and fish), plus your classic bakery favorites. The cakes looked amazing too--perfect if you need something to grab and go.

Can't wait to become a regular at...

I myself run a bakery in the area and have for 13 years. It’s sad to see people come and leave you bad reviews based on comparing you to other bakeries and what THEY think you should be doing. With that said, I am glad you took over this spot. You have fantastic bakery. The cheesepocket with the chocolate took a childhood favorite to the next level and your donuts are probably the best i’ve had in recent years. I bought a coconut creme tapicoa pie for Thanksgiving and my family and I just absolutely LOVED IT. You can tell you use quality ingredients and your staff knows what they are doing. The ladies working Thanksgiving morning were amazing! Friendly and super helpful. I’m glad to have you as an addition to our neighborhood! Ive always told myself that for every complaint I ever got there were always a dozen more positive one to weight out that bad one. Im also delighted that you stand up for yourselves! The bakery is usually good. I’ve had some very yummy things from there. Once I went a few weeks ago and ordered a Canfora Chop sandwich and it was so delicious. I was craving one this week and went in yesterday around 10:30. They didn’t have any premade and there was only one person working and she said she couldn’t make me one. Today my husband stopped in and bought two premade Canfora Chops. They weren’t even edible. The bread was very stale and the meat mixture was not at all like the other sandwich I had. There were some really gross chewy pieces in the meat mix that I had to spit out. I may stop in for bakery occasionally but I’m definitely not going in for...
