Henry's on Belleview — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I used to work at Coffee Trader on Downer Avenue so I am a bit familiar with Henrys. I've come here a few times over the past few years when I first learned of its existence. I was excited to see that they'd retained some of the Trader favorites including mine, the Nachos Extraordinaire. For a time they'd kept very close to that recipe. This time though they were a completely different design. The dish was a knockoff of a knockoff. Quite unappetizing. And the service was terrible. Surly curt bartender who was more interested in watching the game with his friends than tending to other customers. I won't be back It's too bad. I had rather enjoyed my trips down...

Easily one of the best neighborhood bars anyone could ask for. I've been a regular there for nearly 10 years and have never had any issues. For a very small establishment, the food is fantastic and the beer selection suites just about anyone. They also offer a variety of wines and cocktails. Order a Long Island and your day automatically gets better.

There is rarely a crowd in there, having plenty of seating for the size of the place. The owner can typically be seen in there throughout the week and is very accommodating to larger parties. This place is a staple of the Downer Avenue community and I hope it stays there for many...

We will not go back here. So small inside very rarely can you comfortably sit a group of 4-5. The service is uninspiring and often curmudgeonly usually the same 1 or maybe two people working who are eager to get back to their friends at the bar. One time after being over served (not a knock just matter of fact) members of our group blatantly had their cards well overcharged. Good thing we all weren't drunk. Overall we have continously had a far less than satisfactory experience here over multiple years. Best...
