Rubbish. The staff is awful, and the customer service is nonexistent. The food is mediocre, and it’s so obvious none of them want to be there. I’ve worked for McDonald’s for 4 years and been a customer since I can remember, never seen this in my life before. Is it a US thing? No idea, but some other places are WAY better than this location. Just one example: I made a big breakfast order yesterday, had to drive to Chicago right away and couldn’t double-check the bag. Turned out, out of 3 meals, 3 hashbrowns were missing. Tried to call, didn’t have the right number and didn’t have time during the day to search for it honestly. I called this morning when I had a bit more time to see if there was something they could do, and the lady said to me, “Can’t do anything for you, sir”… I have my receipt, pictures, everything a human can possibly provide, but no, I needed to call right away. I wouldn’t complain if it was just one; honestly, this can happen. But the three people I gave the food to only had their drink and the sandwich that goes with, which is a bit sad, especially when you see how expensive a breakfast at McDonald's has gotten. I see them handing out free stuff every time I go, remaking burgers because the bun is misplaced, a little too toasted, not enough sauce or whatever, but three missing hashbrowns can’t be added to my next purchase? Read moreI pulled into the drive thru this morning thinking I'll surprise my daughter with a McGriddle meal for breakfast. The line had 6 cars in each lane. I sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes without a single car moving. So I pulled out and went inside. There were three people standing around a single register counting money. No one was taking orders. I asked them were they going to take my order and they got attitudes and told me to "hold on". The entire time the same truck was waiting at the window. 28 minutes from my original arrival in the drive thru a young woman with the absolute worst attitude took my order. The same truck was waiting at the window the entire time. The staff kept asking "who's on drive thru?" But no one was taking the drive thru orders. 43 minutes after I arrived I received my order. FORTY-THREE MINUTES. This is McDonald's, I don't expect stellar service but I expect fast food. To be blatantly ignored inside the lobby and outside at the drive thru is completely unacceptable. For the staff to watch coworkers count money and not service customers is ridiculous. Where's the management? Who's in charge? If the owner of this location saw the blatant disregard for customer service or even making a sale at all every employee in there would be fired. Read moreUpdate: other locations have their dining room open but NOT here. I went to the drive-thru at 7:30am and there was literally NO ONE serving customers. I only stopped because it's on my way to work but now I know not to ever bother again.
Deserves ZERO stars. If that was an option I'm sure the average would drop significantly. I can't imagine how anyone could give this place more than 2 stars let alone 5. The service at this McDonald's, 420 E Capitol Dr in Milwaukee is TERRIBLE. Avoid this location AT ALL COSTS. Go 10 miles out of your way if you have to but DO NOT STOP HERE. The staff doesn't care about serving customers let alone getting orders correct. I've seen them throw litter out of the drive-thru window. Many times I've been accosted by aggressive panhandlers, one of them spitting on my car because I wouldn't interrupt a call on my cellphone to give him money. There's a Wendy's a block away, you're much better off going there instead.
