I was hoping to inform the store manager without using social media, however nobody has been answering the phone all afternoon since my experience... I would like to first say that I have shopped this location a few times and most of my experiences have been good ones. The store manager is friendly and you can usually see him on the floor or running register. Most of the employees follow suit. That is what surprised me by my visit today. As I was completing my shopping trip today, I was waiting for an open register. The cashier was ringing out another patron and I was waiting patiently. The assistant manager them said she would check me out. About the time I got to her register, her cell phone started to ring. SHE PROCEEDED TO ANSWER IT! At first I was okay with it, just a little shocked, but then she proceeded to talk to her repair shop the whole time I was in front of her. She was trying to handle my transaction one handed and was slow and fumbly with it. She finally told me my total in which I gave her cash for it. She recounted it 4 times before I just told her how much was there and she started fumbling with the register to complete the transaction. Mind you she was still on her phone! When my transaction was through, she finally hung up and said "sorry my car is in the shop." I just told her to have a good day and left. As the ASM you should be setting an example for your associates and frankly I don't think that is the example you should be using. Even the cashier could see I was frustrated. Had I not been in my lunch break, I would have tracked down the store manager who was on the floor, but because of how slow she was I was already running late to get back to work... I hope they see this and readdress their cell...
Read moreI was able to visit this store late last month when my family had their annual apple picking event last month! And apart of the even was visiting this store to do shopping especially being from Chicago you could find some great items in great quality for cheap! While browsing I found a Snow Joe Electric cordless Shovel and was debating with myself for like 30 mins if I was going to get it or not! Wind up leaving the store and going back to Chicago. I did a little research on the item and it was like highly recommended as well as being $200 or more online but at this store in Ohio it was like $70. I called back about a week Later and spoke to the kind and helpful crew member named Khalia and Store Manager Brandon! I was hoping that I would be able to purchase the item and it be shipped to me! Unfortunately they told me they don't have shipping at the store. Long story short they were able to help me purchase the item over the phone, they were able to hold the item til my family member picked it up and luckily my family members that lived in Ohio were able to bring the item to me in Chicago! I am so grateful to Manger Brandon and Khalia for being able to get this done for me! Im also hoping that the CEO or upper managment allow shipping and online shopping for us who love the store but dont have one in our cities to shop online! It would definitely help! I also have worked in E-commerce before so if you have questions on how to get it going I'm willing to give tips! Thanks again the two workers you are savinf my back and energy for this...
Read moreBargains can be found, but examine your finds before you hit the line for the register! A few things have changed since I last reviewed DFW. They now have a return policy. You must return to the store where you purchased. You can't return to a different DFWH. Still when you find the hole in your shirt you didn't see prior to leaving the store, it's a great insurance you can get your money back. It doesn't happen often, but some items are less than perfect...many or them actually. So inspect them carefully Clearance has now returned. They also have expanded their liquidation reach beyond and added some really nice high end brands...many in the GP and CH*O'S family of brands. Also available are some brands that have outlet stores near by central Ohio. Pricing however on some of these brands is hit or miss. You may do better at the brand outlet. You may do better at DFWH. So know your product. Use your phone to figure out if pricing is really a great deal. Also inspect your selections carefully as many items I've found recently are clearly returns stores wouldn't put back out for resale. Stains, holes, ripped seams can be a really problem and a downer to discover after you have brought an item home. My lastest score? A full-length lightweight down jacket for $60 that sold on CLEARANCE for $170. That being said, savvy shoppers can emerge with seriously great name brand deals. Happy hunting ,...
