The major ding against this place is about their pricing. They are in my top three pizzas in the Twin Cities metro area but just getting a small (12") sausage mushroom pizza, which i did the driving to pick up, came to $35. Is it a great pizza by Minnesota standards? Yes it is but I travel a lot back and forth to New Haven, CT, home to pizzas that always rank as the top in the whole country. My stop is always Pepe's, which is often ranked as the #1 pizza place in the country. The exact same size pizza with the same topping, after tax + tip, comes to $23. I know that it would be unfair to try to make a comparison on taste/quality between Broders and the best pizza place in the country. But I can make the very objective comparison based on price. There is absolutely no reason that a Broaders pizza costs 52% more than it does in CT, which actually has a higher cost of living, taxes and employee pay.

Sorry guys, but how long did you think that you could get away with this, especially when all of your customers can see all the new renovations that decreased the capacity to comfortably sit down and eat, to optimize floor space with similarly overpriced items. If you can't sell pizza for significantly less than you currently do, that just comes down to an issue with...

3.5 stars. Wpuld give this place a higher rating. Went there for my moms birthday a few years ago and I remember the pasta being easilly 4 stars. First time ordering a pizza from them, and it was awful. the pepperoni way too thin, greasy and very off tasting . The sausage was crumbled so thinned out all you can taste is grease and fennel, no other spices. and I love fennel, but this was overwhelming having just that bitterness with the very bitter sauce. sauce tastes the throw away tomato sauce from a can of san marzanos that you never spiced or cooked. crust was a bit bland and cheese nothing special. just bad pizza. broders pasta 4.3. broders pizza maybe 1.8. If youve never tried it I wouldnt reccomend a large, I ended up cooking something else. was hoping at the highest maybe a hello pizza competive level or at the very least a cossetas or fat lorenzos pizza by the slice style, and got a sour bitter and greasy abomimation. It doesnt even smell appetizing. 😔 sorry guys, dont know if the pizza is always this way. but this pizza...

Upon arrival at Broders Cucina Italiana, we were met with an unexpected challenge — the seating options were remarkably limited. The main dining area felt cramped and unwelcoming, a stark contrast to the cozy Italian ambiance we anticipated. To our dismay, we discovered that an entire section of the restaurant was used up for snacks & shelved items where all of the tables used to be. The situation downstairs was no better, as it was exclusively set aside for private reservations, leaving us with no viable place to enjoy our meal. The lack of accommodation was disheartening, and it became clear that the restaurant was not prepared to host walk-in guests adequately. Regrettably, the seating fiasco overshadowed the allure of the menu, compelling us to leave before we could even place an order. It’s unfortunate that our experience at Broders Cucina Italiana was cut short due to such an oversight in customer...

I stop here quite literally every time I make the drive from Grand Forks on my way to MSP. As an ethnic Italian American from the East Coast, Broders’ has always made me feel closer to home. The grocery market is truly amazing and anyone who claims to be Italian must source as much of their tomatoes and cheeses as they can from here. I have recently found myself staying for lunch and have yet to be disappointed. From top notch deli sandwich’s to quick and flavorful pastas, Broders’ is the Italian American’s gastro-dream realized in a small corner of the outskirts of Minneapolis. Please give them your patronage; it’s places like this that make America’s Italian food scenes so unique and special.

It's a solid staple place for reliable Italian food. UPDATE: Pay for a full meal and get a half portion. After 5 years of being a regular, the last 3 or 4 times when I order, I've requested for a bigger helping cause the entree portions have diminished, however each time I am given lip service and nothing changes. I really don't like leaving a dinner establishment hungry. Once I ordered two entrees and that was perfect but at an average of $13/- it's not something I want to do often or maybe not at all.

Chicken parm with fettuccine was very good. Only complaint is that the portion was not very big, but it was probably consistent with the price. Italian cookies were very good. Almond horn cookies were great. Rainbow cookie was larger than most but was just ok, but both at $1.95 per cookie were very expensive. I’m used to paying by the pound for Italian cookies. Overall great little spot in a safe area with street parking. I’d go back.
